    Citrix SQL database question

You should have one System DSN for the Local Host Cache mdb and no DSN for connecting to the SQL server itself. This information is contained in the MF20.dsn and is then used to create the imalhc.mdb file. The System DSN entry is called IMADirectory.

Logins are disabled after every reboot

Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening? When one of my Citrix servers is rebooted, logins are automatically disabled. Everytime, I have to check "enable logons to this server" in the CMC. Citrix PS4 w/ 2003 Thanks Jeremy

    Print Server questions

Type this command at the command line: RUNDLL32 PRINTUI.DLL,PrintUIEntry /? This will allow you to add/remove printers from a login script for all your users.

    Laptops and Windows Security Updates

I don't test desktop updates just ones that will effect servers. Thanks for responding.

    Laptops and Windows Security Updates

The laptops are currently all configured to go to the internal update server. On your suggestion for them running the updates from the Microsoft site, I don't want them to have to do this because they probably won't.

    Laptops and Windows Security Updates

What are others doing to keep laptop users up-to-date on Windows Critical Security Updates? Internally I'm using WSUS but I don't think there are settings to tell Automatic Updates to check the Microsoft Web Site if they haven' communicated with my internal WSUS server. I need to make sure these...

User required to re-login after locking their local workstation

Nothing has changed on the Citrix Servers. Will need to see if a hotfix was applied to the workstations that is causing this.

User required to re-login after locking their local workstation

This just started to occur and cannot figure out why. Our users using PNagent to run Citrix applications are required to login into their session when they lock their local workstation, which means they need to login twice and they aren't happy about it. Windows 2003 SP1; Citrix PS 4.0 Any...

    NIC Teaming and Cisco 3560

Thanks for the quick reply. How do you know it's working correctly? Is there a way I can test it? I made the change as you suggested but when I do a show interface I still only see one interface being used.

    NIC Teaming and Cisco 3560

Was wondering if anyone had any experience teaming 2 NICs using a Cisco 3560 or other switch. I configured the Teaming software for type: SLB (Switch-assisted Load Balancing) and on the switch I created an etherchannel to include the 2 ports. Here's a sample of my switch config: interface...

    Hightlight Spaces

Maybe I should have included this code. Spaces can be highlighted, I'm just not sure if I run through the field once then run through it again with another replace formula. replace({FIELD}," ", "<font color=red>"+"<b>"+"@@"+"</b>"+"</font color>") Change the field Text Interpretation to...

    Very Large Print Jobs

I have a Windows 2003 Server running in TS mode w/ Citrix installed. I believe this is a Windows issue and not a Citrix issue. Anyway... My users were complaining about slow performance when printing from a TS session. After doing some testing I confirmed their issue. On our old 2000 TS...

Remove Run from Start Menu BUT allow UNC access

Thanks Mike. Just thinking of other situations where I'd want users to access information via a UNC. Just doesn't make sense to disable UNC browsing...

Remove Run from Start Menu BUT allow UNC access

TheLad - You are correct. This does work. I, however, have an application that was set to a UNC path which does not work unless it's mapped to a drive letter or the Run menu option is available. WestCoastKid - No sure. At the moment I need to use UNCs so the Run command is still available.

Remove Run from Start Menu BUT allow UNC access

Yes and it disables users from accessing UNC paths.

Remove Run from Start Menu BUT allow UNC access

Anyone figured out how to remove the Run Start Menu option without breaking UNC access?
