By add-ons I mean all the things Microsoft includes that most of us never use. I use Mozilla for both Internet browsing and Email so why do I have to have Outlook installed with the OS? That is just one example but I just think that the resources that Windows is now taking up as well as the way...
For what it's worth I always partition drives so that drive C has the OS and the otehr partition has everythign I don't want to lose. In the event of a reinstal I never lose anything important and can format the C drive quite happily.

Anyone have any joy using standard Windows backup as comes with Windows Server 2000, to schedule backups? I find it very hit and miss. More often than not schedules do not run or revert to an older deleted setup which is even more annoying.

I have upgraded from 5.5 to 2003
Now everyone can open everyone elses mailbox. This used to be easy to secure in 5.5 but now it is s nightmare. If I restrict access to everyone then the person who's mailbox it is canot open their own mailbox.
