    thank you guys for your prompt responses! all i have to do is obtain a DB9 adapter, and a roll-over cable. hopefully i won't run into any problems resetting the password and reconfiguring the switch. if i do, i'll know where to turn. :)

    i purchased a 2924 from an auction, but have no idea as to configuring the switch since i don't know the ip address. can someone please shed some light into reconfiguring the 2924. thanks!
