    Enable soft phone for everyone?

Awesome answers guys. Thank you! We do have Site Admin and System Manager so I'll look into those!

    Enable soft phone for everyone?

Hey guys! Just wondering if there's a way for me to enable IP Softphone for everyone at the same time. We have 2,000~ employees so I'd hate to do it one by one! Bonus question: can I make it the default for new extensions? Thank you!!! Avaya Aura 8.1.3 here!

Algo 8028 Door Controller on System Manager 8.1.3

Turns out it was a network issue. Thanks though!

Algo 8028 Door Controller on System Manager 8.1.3

Hey guys, using Communication Manager, System Manager, and most everything on our Avaya system version 8.1.3. A user complained that an Algo 8028 started ringing the other day and won't stop. I go out there and unplug the door controller and that stopped the intercom/speaker part from ringing...

Sending a specific caller to a voicemail box

Will setting the voicemail (in our case, h2000) as the second coverage point actually go to 2558's voicemail? I was under the impression the voicemail coverage point goes to the initial extension's voicemail no matter what the other points in the cover path are.

Sending a specific caller to a voicemail box

Rather than create a new thread that's so similar, I wanted to ask here... We need anyone who calls extensions 2554 to get "forwarded" to 2558's voicemail box. Is there a way rather than creating an entire new VDN/vector? I thought the Forward button on the phone would do it, but it rings on...

Is there a way to temporarily ignore calls?

Avaya Aura v8.1.3 system. Avaya 9608 and 9641 phones. Is there a way to temporarily ignore calls? For instance, a button on the phone that will enable DND for 15 minutes. We have an 'Ignore' softkey on our phones but that just mutes the currently ringing call. I researched through the official...

Would like to understand button/feature order.

I mean how do you set those up? For instance, right now I have Redial, Send All, 911, and AD23 I can tell you no matter where I put "send-call" in CM, it always shows up as the second softkey on the bottom. It also shows on the Features page. Both disappear if I remove it from the...

Would like to understand button/feature order.

THanks guys. Both the FBONCASCREEN and the "a" for bridged-appearance are sort of game changers for me. That's why I love this place! OK a couple more related... 1) I see appearances are still prioritized. So if I put one after a feature, it'll still show before it on the phone. Is there a way...

Would like to understand button/feature order.

Sorry, H.323 mainly! And we're using Team buttons so receptionists can answer other people's calls. I know there's bridge appearance but I feel like Team button solves the issue of having to have two lines for each bridge appearance to answer calls coming in the other's person's second line.

Would like to understand button/feature order.

Hello! CM 8.1.3.1 here using a mix of 9608's and 9621/41's. My question is in regards to the softkey/button order on the phones. So basically I don't understand the logic it uses to display stuff, especially on the main phone screen. What I really want to do is have a couple of Team buttons...

Is there a way to push out button labels?

Hey kyle555! I got so busy completely forgot I asked about this, when I was the most excited to see what you had cooking. I was just sitting here and it donned on me! Let me look into this and see if I can test it out and I'll report back. And thank you so much for putting this together. I'll...

Is there a way to push out button labels?

Yeah exactly right! What are you cooking up? haha Our names in CM are Last, First so "Smith, John". And yeah we have root for SMGR!

Is there a way to push out button labels?

Hey kyle, yes you're right... the SBMLABELs is always manual. I have to enter those and they are not in the backup file by default. And yep, we have System Manager, although we use Site Administrator almost exclusively just because that's what we're used to. But we get into System Manager...

Is there a way to push out button labels?

kyle, the config file looks like what ZeroZeroOne posted, except mine have the labels I added. Such as SBMLABEL01=Lead SBMLABEL02=Admin etc... Hey ZeroZeroOne, thanks so much that sounds nice! Unfortunately, looks like his site is down. :<

Is there a way to push out button labels?

Well for instance, if I add a sidecar and put some bridged appearances on it (or now probably Team buttons thanks to you!), it will just show extensions instead of names. So I have to manually add "SBMLABEL01=John S" and so on, know what I mean? I tried change system-parameters...

Is there a way to push out button labels?

OH dang, all our phones are H.323. :< All our phones create the backup files. It's just I'm wondering if there's a more... I don't know... UI way? to edit these labels other than editing the text file and reloading that.

Is there a way to push out button labels?

Hey guys, CM 8.1.3.1 here. Normally I edit the ####_96xxdata.txt file and have the user manual restore the backup file. However, there's got to be a better way! Is there a way to have the user do it or even myself that doesn't require directly doing it on the phone or through a text file? I...

Bridged Appearances: Hide Names and Auto-answer

kyle, that Team button is perfect! We never even knew we had that feature and honestly, it is better than bridged appearance for our needs. Unfortunately, in our county of nearly 2,000 users, all those ones with bridged appearances would have been better off with Team buttons! ha

Bridged Appearances: Hide Names and Auto-answer

Thank you for the reply. I have about 10 people using bridged appearances of each other, but they don't want to see who each other is talking to. Especially the names. I believe it's a privacy thing with them. They also don't want to pick the phone up when it's ringing and have it auto-answer...
