Not sure what is going on but I have a 2003 domain running in 2003 mode, but I am still able to build NT4 BDC's into the domain, I thought this option was only available in a mixed mode domain.
Any ideas?
Thanks Intelwizrd, been off site for a couple of days. I believe this issue is ok now, not down to 2000 but a good old fashioned routing problem. Not helped by having a complex network topology with multiple routes in place.
As functionality of the DC's did not seem to be effected whilst the...
I am getting some odd errors on two Domain Controllers in our environment of ten DC's, these are logged in EventViewer as 1311 and 1265 errors. There are a number of MS Technet articles and also a MS patch that I have applied, the errors still occur though. DNS is configured as AD Integrated.

Hi,
We have a problem accessing NTBACKUP in that the Active directory component is missing when you drill down on the Systemstate of our Windows 2000 SP3 Domain Controller.
Any ideas why this is happening?
TIA
Has anyone been able to access Published Applications using Citrix Web Client v7 without being prompted for their Windows security credentials. I know Desktop Credential Pass Through works for the initial login.asp page, but when you click on a published application icon you get prompted to...
When trying to add a new ICA connection the Use local User name and Password option is grayed out.
Any idea why it's not possible to select this option?
TIA
I am trying to access a published application through the browser. It is working ok apart from 2000 user authentication. The 2000 security dialogue box appears after launching the app indicating a logon error. The session is trying to log me on locally to the Citrix Server and not the domain...
Thanks for your response wolluf - your correct, I could create a 95/98 group for the share and 95/98 users could gain access, however we have a couple of hundred 95/98 users still and the admin overhead in managing this group would be quite large.
Hence having a single generic user ID would be...
Jon, I don't believe you can change user through explorer in 95/98 or through the command line using Net Use. I am trying to write a batch file that needs to map a drive on the domain using a specific user ID for 95/98 clients.
If you know better, please tell me.
Thanx.
Is there any way in 95/98 to connect to a share on an NT domain using different credentials other than who the 95/98 client is logged on as.
I am thinking specifically of the net use command which in 95/98 doesn't have a /user: option.
TIA
Trying to administer a DNS server from 2000 Professional. Is that possible, under NT4 you are able to run DNSADMIN.EXE and attach to a DNS server.
As I am not able to to install the DNS service on 2000 Professional not sure how I can use the snap in via mmc either?
Any help would be...
What utility can I run that displays what NT domain a PC is connecting from? A NET SESSION will give me the PC name but then I have to do an NBTSTAT to get the domain. It would be neat to do this in one hit without using two utilities to get this info.
