Unfortunately, all the printer programming looks good. The workstation is selected as the print destination.
The check prints fine, and the reports is set to the same printer (the same workstation).
From what I can tell, it seems like the server is not able to use nodes other than itself to...
Hey everyone, running into an odd issue I've never seen before.
Any time we try to run a report at one of our workstations, the report executes fine, but never prints to the printer.
In the 3700d.log we see the following lines indicating a certificate problem:

Minor upgrades need to be installed BEFORE hotfixes!
You need to patch to 5.7.6
Then you can upgrade to 5.7.6.5
I made this mistake while rushing through updates on a fresh install as well.
Double check your order types and Print Class, and Device programming in POS Config.
Make sure you have all workstations checked to be able to print to the order device.
Also if you use order types, make sure you didnt override the kitchen printer.
Any of these programming mistakes would...
Hey all,
Just thought I would share what I learned working with a Micros engineer on fixing issues with Workstations refusing to connect to the server.
I have this issue a lot so hopefully this will help others that I am sure deal with this.
Starting off, make sure to confirm your...
Hey all, I want to create a nightly autosequence which can run an SQL query on another POS database we have, and pull that query into a tracking group in Micros 3700. Has anyone done something like this before? My biggest hurdle is the fact the other POS system uses a MS SQL Server database. I...

I already forced 5.7.6 to install by extracting the installer and modifying that exelist.txt file.
The current build number is 5.7.0600.5536 which is 5.7.6.0.
If I hadn't gotten that far yet it would give a incompatible build error immediately. The first thing in the batch file for these...
You need to update to one of the RES 5.0 builds.
5.4.6+
5.5.7+
5.7.5+
Don't use 5.6.x it's borked.
This has been a known issue for a long time.
It pays to keep up on your updates. Also get a new OS asap.
If you update to 5.5 or 5.7 you can use Windows 10.
Basically title, every time I try to patch our RES3700 server it crashes with the EF Stop message Critical process died.
Looking through the logs, the crash occurs as its attempting to shutdown all of the services/processes. Most common it happens on the 'Lm' process.
I used 7-Zip and...
You'll need access to the Oracle Software Delivery website and their support site.
Obtain the 5.7.0 Installer from the Software delivery site.
Obtain any additional software (CC Drivers for example)
Obtain 5.7 MR6 patch (current latest) from the Support Site.

I wrote a script which checks for, downloads, and installs Windows updates. Then it checks if a reboot is required, if so it will properly set clcontrol.exe to System Idle before restarting. Useful for performing updates and restarts every week or so. Having to do this manually is cumbersome...
For sure, it was very bizarre I only started having issues weeks after setup. However it operated smooth all day yesterday and so far today. As far as sharing the patch, I'm not sure if I am allowed to directly post it.
However its not hard to find, if youre an Oracle customer you simply go to...
When you are having this issue, could you check services for Micros MDS HTTP Server.
It seems this service may be failing to start when you reboot your server.
Turns out it was something that we all overlooked.
BitDefender, our AntiVirus, was active scanning the Database. DUH.
Added Sybase SQL to the exclusion list and bam, everything nice and speedy again.
I put together new hardware for one of our sites, and decided to update RES from 5.4.4 to 5.7.6 while we were making the effort. The server is running in a Hyper-V VM. The VM has 12 cores and 32GB of RAM assigned and its running on Server 2016. The Server has a shared NIC for internet, but a...
