Cha option strings in pbx 1 to point to pbx 2

We have never had remote workers and now they want to roll out a couple with J179 sets. I need to know what needs to be done onsite to allow the phone into the network, and what to put into the phone. I know this is a somewhat basic question but since IT and Telecom here dont work good together...
