The screen before this is the browsing window to find the data file. The information from my previous post is in the order that it's listed in the window.

She gets a "Confirm Data Source" window that includes:
OLE DB Database Files
Microsoft Excel Worksheet via Converter
MS Excel Workstheets via DDE
Excel Files via ODBC

Apparently, she's been specifying DDE as the data type, which will only access the first worksheet in the workbook. By forcing her to OLE DB, she can access the data she needs. Now I just need to find out how to get Word to default to OLE DB rather than giving her other options, so she can't...
I have a single user have an issue using an Excel spreadsheet in a Word mail merge. The spreadsheet has multiple worksheets, and she only wants to use one of them, but the only option she's given is "entire worksheet". The problem follows her userid, so it's part of her profile, but I can't...
Well, I have a little more information, now. The data is currently stored in a proprietary app on our mainframe system. I need to develop a way for users to update via our intranet, perhaps with an online form, then to display. I only want certain users to have access to change the data and...
My web development skill are pretty low-end, so I'm hoping for some direction. I have users that currently use a spreadsheet to track an on-call list, and the spreadsheed is shared by several users. I've been asked to make it more accessible by putting it on our company's intranet. I'm trying...
Thanks for your input, folks. The first option seems to give me pretty good data. The limitation of using Message Tracker Center is it cuts off at 1000 messages. We're running about 15 times that.
Thanks again!
Alan
Our CIO would like an estimate of the number of mail messages handled by our Exchange 2000 server on a daily basis - by tomorrow. Our Exchange "guy" is not available, so it has fallen on my shoulders. I've scrounged the web but am unable to come up with a solution. Any help would be...
I appreciate your help, but this registry hack just allows me access to these file types. The problem is that when I try to open them, I only have the option to "save" to disk or "cancel". I'd like my "open" option back. We have other users of 2003 that have the "open" option, but I can't...
This seems like a silly question, but I can't find out how to get the "open" button when I double-click on an attachment in Outlook 2003. My only options are "Save to Disk" and "Cancel". I'm stumped.
Best regards,
Alan
I have a very basic set of pages designed to allow access to multiple Word documents for basic info tracking. It seems to work fine on many workstations, but I have one that will not open the files. The only error it gets is an exclamation point in a yellow triangle. I've checked access...
I've got a strange issue with MS Office 2003 files (Word and Excel). If I browse to a file via Explorer and double-click to open it, there's no issue, but if I open Word/Excel then File/Open to browse to open the exact same file, it opens as Read Only. Ive searched Microsoft and via Google to...
I've searched the web, but am unable to come up with an answer, so I thought I'd try here. I'm creating a simple web page with a list of offices that have connectivity to us. Each link will bring up a Word doc that any user can enter info into any time they have contact with that office. What...
