Everything works, in case anyone does a search for this in the future. I installed the USB HID OPOS drivers from touch dynamics website and set the opos device name to 'IDTECH_SECUREMAG_USBHID'. Thanks for the help.

installed without issue, thermal printer works just fine. now to figure out the mag reader and everything will be good
