@POSKitchen -
It's rarely said, but THANK YOU for a fantastic post regarding upgrading SVC and SVS Host Adapter for TLS 1.2. It was very concise, and you deserve kudos for posting.
Are you able to possibly provide a refreshed link to download the latest SVSHA file if you still have them...
Hello my POS brothers and sisters -
We're using Micros SVC for gift cards, and are printing nightly transaction reports by using the "Micros.Svc.ReportViewer.exe" application inside the "D:\Micros\ProfessionalServices\StoredValueCard" folder.
I've got it running nightly as an External Program...
@lrg90401 - you can always re-run the SVC install file to recreate the default svc.isl file in the Professional Services folder, and then you can use that new file to drop it in ETC folders on the server and in the CAL folders.
Just make sure you delete the existing SVC file that matches the...
Are you referring to what was showing within the Valutec host adapter in the SSF Utility? If so, I noticed that, as well. None of my locations use the Loyalty component of Valutec, and only use gift cards. Sorry I can't help that. [glasses]
Honestly, though, deleting it is really not necessary. It doesn't hurt anything to leave it where it is. As long as the new "Valutec2" files are in place, and are configured properly through the SSF utility, things should be ok.
@Colin518 and @lrg90401 - if you've had to install 4.2.7.451, make sure you grab and rename the new default svc.isl file that gets placed in the Micros/Professional Services folder, and then place it in the ETC and CAL/ETC folders, and then rename it according to the interface number in...
@microslady - make sure all Windows Updates are completely installed and up-to-date. I had one site that had this same issue, and Windows Updates solved it.
@lrg90401 Is the original Valutec Interface still in Configurator, or did you reuse it? I'm assuming that you created a new one for the Valutec2 Interface. That's ok, but you need to do two things if you are no longer using the original Valutec interface:
1) Uncheck SIM check box on the...
It's on the eDelivery system Wildbar listed. You'll need an authorized Oracle.com account to access it.
Chances are, though, you already have that version installed on your system... have you verified what version your on?
lrg90401 -- the Valutec2 Host Adapter document states that SVC v4.2.7.460 is required, however this is not fully accurate. SVC v4.2.7.451, the latest version on Oracle's eDocument Delivery system, is compatible and works. I've upgraded 6 of our RES 3700 v5.2-5.4 stores successfully.
@Wildbar - the latest Valutec2 Host Adapter Interface install doc from Oracle (attached) states that 4.2.7.460 is required. (see pic attached)
@HTS-Chris - this excerpt should help you locate theinstalled version of SVC on your RES 3700 system:
RES 3700
1) Navigate to the MICROS\Professional...
AndrewMcLean, you had mentioned that you built servers and installed Micros "from scratch following a know good process as of 5.5". Would it be possible for you to share that information with me, maybe a documented procedure that you use at your company? Thanks in advance if you're able to share.
Hello everyone --
Does anyone have access to the latest MICROS SVC gift card software, version 4.2.7.460? The latest build that I can find is 4.2.7.451. I need the latest version to be able to update Valutec to the latest TLS 1.2 system. Thanks in advance.

Hello. The zip file referenced in this thread is no longer valid/available. Can someone help me with the file that I need to update my KDS units with the latest version of .NET required to upgrade from RES 4.9 to v5.4?
Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.
