Trouble connecting IP Office V1 to VMPro

Hi, I am having issues trying to connect an Ip Office R7 to a new VMPro Server. The previous server got crashed (without having any backup) so the new one has installed from scratch. The ip addresses are the same as the previous server so Ip Office and VM Pro can see each other. I installed the...

    Contact Recording User Permissions

Hello, I got the same problem. Giving permissions in CR to a user for searching recordings of some IP Office users when the call is coming from a Hunt-Group I am not able to find all the recordings. The logical behaviour should be if I provide permissions for some extensions the searching...

    Direct Media Path issue

Thanks you for your comment janni78. It is a pity it can't be changed, again Avaya Communicator is the forgotten part.

    Direct Media Path issue

Yes, I agree with you, I prefer DMP as much as possible, but in this case the firewall is managed by an external company which is very very slow for any new setup, so I was trying to avoid it. I also believe Avaya Communicator is not well designed by Avaya, the same you can not login as an agent...

    Direct Media Path issue

Furthermore, I just tested to create 2 SIP extensions unticking the DMP and assigning 2 base extensions of 2 Power users (one local and another in the VPN site) and it doesn't solve the problem, still no audio, so it convince me the Power Users doesn't need an extension. Yes, for sure the...

    Direct Media Path issue

Yes, but Avaya Communicator doesn't need extension, it is enough with the user pointing it is a Power User. So there is no extension for each Avaya Communicator user.

    Direct Media Path issue

I am afraid, there is no DMP in users or at least I didn't find it. Also there isn't for the full system, I just found it in Lines and SIP/H323 Extensions.

    Direct Media Path issue

But they are not SIP or H323 phones where I can untick the DMP, it is Office Workers licenses using Avaya Communicator as softphone, so I don't find any DMP related with those users. The only place I see the DMP is in the H323 trunk that connect Primary Server with IPO500V2 where are connected...

    Direct Media Path issue

Hi, I have been reading some other topics about the DMP, but I don't know if it fixes to our issue. Basically I have the IPO in one center and other center connected by VPN. Ip addresses from both centers are in different subnets but both can see each other. A firewall is in between both sites...

    IPO412 Save Problem

What do you mean with no licenses? Now the default configuration the IPO 412 has is with no licenses, but the problem is that when I added any license it is not saved in the memory so after the restart it comes again with the default config without the license added.

    IPO412 Save Problem

Yes, there is a Rainbow connector (I believe is the second one of the documentation) attached to the PC with the Manager and I think it is the dongle key. So, that means if I replace the control unit my licences will work with the same licences?

    IPO412 Save Problem

I don't think so, but I will check and come back. Many thanks

    IPO412 Save Problem

But according with this document (https://downloads.avaya.com/elmodocs2/ip_office/R3.0/licence_key.pdf) the dongle key should be attached to the Control Unit, not a License Server, in fact the field Ip Address License Server in System in filled by 255.255.255.255, so as far as I know there is no...

    IPO412 Save Problem

Hi, thanks for the quick answer. Are you 100% sure? Do you know if in that model and version can I just replace the control unit and the licenses will work again or the licenses are attached to the hardware?

    IPO412 Save Problem

Hi, I have an old IPO 412 release 3.0 and it looks like there is a problem with the flash memory. Whatever I change in the configuration (a user that needs merge change or a line that needs a reboot, for instance)it looks like it makes a reboot (it loses the ping against the Control Unit) and...
