Thanks Tommy! I went through those steps but no go. The audio actually came out really distorted which was new, but also had the same problem at the end. The entire greeting plays, then you get about half a second of random audio from another part of the recording in there, which wasn't present...
I've done a lot more testing and experimentation with not a whole lot of success, unfortunately. The problem happens when listening to the recording locally as well. So it seems it has something to do with the conversion process. I tried using the g711 website @critchey mentioned but ran into...
@AACon - thanks for the suggestions! I'm half way across the country so unfortunately not able to check from a phone onsite, but I'll have the client try dialing a shortcode for the AA to see if it's happening internally too.
I'm using Audacity to convert their mp3 to the proper format, and...
Hey y'all.
We have a client who has professional recording services do their AutoAttendant - they're on 11.0.4 with Embedded Voicemail. I've taken the mp3 they provided, converted to .wav with all the typical specs (8000 bitrate, 16-bit PCM, under 30 seconds, etc.) but we keep getting strange...
Not necessarily - if the service is over the top, the IT company can have everything configured on the network, patch through desks and at that point it's plug and play. Configuration is a big unknown, but if it's easy and done over the cloud that may not be needed by a telecom vendor either...
Wonder what that means for existing UCaaS customers. This includes Powered By Avaya services, correct? I'm making a call out to our Powered By Avaya provider on Monday as we have some deals coming through, but overall this seems like a pretty big negative for Avaya. But I'm not too business...
Hey guys!
I've got a client who's using bridged appearances with assistants answering the phone. I set up a Private Call button on the executive's phones with the goal of being able to drop off any assistants on the call already and stop them from bridging back on. Problem is that if the...
If it's coming up "Discover XX.XX.XX.XX" with the IPO then as tlpeter says you need an IP route built.
IP Address = Local subnet at remote site (ie 192.168.1.0)
Subnet = 255.255.255.0
Gateway = 192.168.42.254
LAN1 (assuming you're using LAN port on IPO)
Yes, both extensions are enabled for hot desking.
It's definitely a weird issue. I've been hot desking extensions for years on just about every install and this is the first time I've encountered it.
The "extension in use" prompt isn't an issue at all. She's aware that it will come up when attempting to login her VPN phone.
Generally, the remote office will be the primary one logged in, as she has an assistant at the main office that will log her digital extension in when she's leaving to...
You can add a Group button to the other users for that hunt group, and add them as disabled users in the group (unchecked). It won't flash on their call appearances, but the Group button will flash when a call comes into it and they can press the button to answer.
Sorry sizbut I should've been more clear. Reading it again what I said doesn't really make sense. When I said home office I meant the main office where the IPO is. Then she has the VPN phone at a remote office.
I should also mention that at one point all the phones in the main office were IP...
I've got a user on a 9.1.12 system that I'm having some issues with. She works remotely on the other side of the country on occasion, so we set up a 9608 VPN phone and shipped it to her. The VPN phone has her extension (325) as the base extension so that it normally logs in automatically. We...
Is it happening at only certain handoff points? What is the dB loss in that transition area? Set the phone into test mode and walk through the areas that calls are dropping and see if they drop below -68dB. Under -68dB the phones look for a new base station to connect to that's -62dB or better.
Hey guys,
I've got a customer with an IP500v2 on 9.1.12 - I posted recently about my troubles with some of the configuration that they want, and we've worked through most of the issues. I have one nagging issue now and I can't seem to find a good work around.
They have your standard...
Thanks guys. I had a feeling that there may not be much I can do and that seems to be the case at this point.
I'm not sure if I can offer up the option of digital - we've got about 20 phones affected and not enough ports without a DS16 module. We'll see. Thanks!
Good morning (or afternoon) gents,
I've got a customer that's complaining about audio delay while on a conference call via bridged appearance. Someone will be on their desk phone, and they'll have one of their co-workers come into their office and use their "guest" phone to bridge onto the line...
