    Thanks, fryingman, I tried your recommendation but still can't get the referenced bookmark to update if I completely replace the original value in the table with a new value. Changing the value removes the bookmark and nothing gets updated in text part of the document. Any further suggestions?

    Martin, thanks for the reply. I am not using Easy CD creator 5, but have solved the problem as follows: I went to Power Options in Conrol Panel, selected the APM tab and enabled Advanced Power Management. Now I can shut down automatically as I did before the upgrade.
