What are the voicemail channels? Is that how many customers (for example) can access the recordings at a given time?
I've had a look through the IP Admin but its to complex for me. I think we will hire someone to get us where we want to be.
At least I now know our system can do want we want...
Hi all.
We currently are using an Avaya IP 500 V2 and would like to setup multiple voicemails to catch all calls.
For example, we have 4 members of staff that rotate on call duty between them. We would like to be able to choose their personalised voicemail greeting from our handsets; either...
We have BT coming over Monday morning to replace the combo card.
BT monitor this forum, they called our company and spoke to me this after noon. Said they got our details from this site and a bit of googling. SPOOKY!
Yes we are in a 5 year contract for the lines & maintenance, but we did buy the system out right.
Well at least we didn't get ripped off.... Maybe got ripped off on the BT maintenence but time will tell!
Here is a copy of the order:

I have cropped some details such as telephone numbers & addresses.
And this was chucked into the box when we got it:

I'm guessing we have been ripped off by BT quite abit lol?
Ok thanks for the tip. I have changed the phones to display the name of that person. The bat has disappeared for the time being so I will keep an eye on it.
Just another small question, is it possible to remove 'BT IP Office' from the idle screen? We would like it to say our company name if...
And there I was praising our new Avaya system haha.
Maybe a software update one day will fix these issues.
I can see that there is a new service pack for system but I do not have an Avaya account to use there website. Plus, I had a bad experience upgrading our old LG LDK-20 so I think I will...
I have pressed the headset button. The line picks up ready to dial a number. When I hang up, the bat symbol is still there.
We have not changed the firmware on the system or handsets since it was installed by BT.
Is the firmware on the handset incorrect?
No we don't have any headsets plugged into any of the phones.
While looking at the IP Office system in the rack, 2 of the leds turn red for a split second then goes out. This happens about every 5ish seconds.
I will upload a video clip shortly. Or, is this normal?
Yes we do have 1408 handsets plugged into an ISDN combo card!
Here is some info on the system Sizbut
COMBO6210/BRI4 - Version 9.0.300.941
IP 500 V2 - Version 9.0.300.941
Avaya IP 1408 - Version 444-2032
If it requires messing with the firmware I think I will leave it alone. The system works...
hairlessupportmonkey, you are very correct! The installation was a complete nightmare.
Bloke turned up to fit the system etc, but BT never booked an openreach engineer to install the physical lines.
So we had a lovely new phone system, all installed neatly into our rack..... But no phone lines...
Aha yes it does look like that!
Yes we have rebooted the system. It disapears for a while but then returns. We have no headsets or anything plugged into the phones.
We do love the new phone system (updraded from a LG LDK-20) and the symbol is not causing any problems. But it is annoying!
Ok I...
Hi all,
We have had our IP office 500 system for a few months now, but there is a symbol that appears and dissapears. It is located to the left of the G symbol (See below)
We don't have a clue what it is. I have looked in the handset manual and cannot find anything.
As you can see, it...
We are using Avaya 1408 handsets.
They just display external call when someone calls.
Would it be worth rebooting the system?
If not, looks like I need to be getting onto BT and ask them what they are playing at!
Thanks
Hi Guys,
We recently added CLIP to our new BT ISDN lines so we could have caller ID for incoming calls.
I have spoken to BT this morning and CLIP is activated, but I need to activate it on the system. They have told me to call the Avaya Helpdesk as we pay for a maintenance contract and they will...
When we press hold, it says line holding, and the handset has a dial tone. How ever, on the customers phone, they can still hear everything. Like it has not been put on hold.
Yes, I backed up the database, updated the firmware and uploaded the database back into the software. We are unsure how...
