    I was able to go to Batteries plus and get them to add the legs to the correct battery for like $10.00. Then I cut the old leads off the existing battery without having to desolder them from the baord and resolder the new leads to the old. Worked fine.

My problem was that I had all trunks (4) in group 01 and had no fourth line in the system, hence the screeching noise when the system tried to get the first available line that wasn't there. The ports are 148 (SLT) and 149 (FAX). they both allow for intercom calls but when I dial 9 for a CO line I get the screeching noise which sounds like feedback but no dialk tone.     I have had to start over programming after a reboot from a dead battery. My problem is that when I dial 9 from the fax extension (149) or 148 (SLT) I hear a screeching noise, not dial tone. What to do?
