IPO 500v2 - Locked Telephony options

Spot on! I did not even think this was the case. Thanks.

IPO 500v2 - Locked Telephony options

I have noticed something rather strange on my IPO. I have 20 users so far. Out of those 20, there are 5 users who have locked options under Telephony settings. So under Telephony-> {Call Settings| Supervisor Settings| Multi-line options) there are entries which appear with a padlock, meaning I...

DHCP Options and IP Phones provisioning

I am not on a scrambler, gentlemen. I am listening:-) @intrigrant - 252 ??? @tlpeter - 272 ??? Susceptibility to typos or those are new options? @NewNic - thanks. Gentlemen, I am most grateful for all the advise. It is now clear to me that Avaya IP Phones need only 176 (old phones) and...

DHCP Options and IP Phones provisioning

I need where it is ALL documented:-) I am guessing there is more than just 176, 242, 66... aren't there more? :-)

DHCP Options and IP Phones provisioning

@hairlessmoneky, I am sorry, but what I was looking is a definitive list of DHCP Options related to Avaya IP Office. It's not hard for me to make sense out of it once I get the list. I love RTFM:) I have seen 176, 242, 66, but wanted to see if there is a document with the whole shebang list...

DHCP Options and IP Phones provisioning

Hi I have several IP phones: 4610s, 4625s, 1616s, 1603s and 3645s. I have scoured the Internet looking for documentation on how to automatically provision these phones. I have a feeling I can get them to automatically get the required parameters from a DHCP Server using dhcp options. I use...

SIP Trunk weird behaviour - IPO500v2 behind Cisco NAT

Thanks for that! You've cleared my mind on something I was reading from the help page - registration domain. Anyway, I guess I can beat that dog using Cisco! Time to extend the reading again.

SIP Trunk weird behaviour - IPO500v2 behind Cisco NAT

A big up to everyone who helped advise me on this mission. I am greatly indebted to all of you for your support. My system is now up and running. It's my 1st SIP setup ever so you can imagine how pleased I am with myself, but it's because of you that I got the confidence to carry on! My next...

SIP Trunk weird behaviour - IPO500v2 behind Cisco NAT

I will pick that 404 up with the Engineer at the SIP Provider.

SIP Trunk weird behaviour - IPO500v2 behind Cisco NAT

Hmmm, lemme try this again. When I have: 9N; Dial N"@41.207.65.197" 17 What does the 404 suggest in this scenario? I get nothing happening. The dialed string stays on the phone screen until it times out: Trace: ********** Warning: Missed 2 packet(s) Total late 0 packet(s) **********...

SIP Trunk weird behaviour - IPO500v2 behind Cisco NAT

@tlpeter, mea culpa. That was a typo, actually. As you can see, even the closing " was missing. What I have is N"@41.207.65.197". Sorry for the misrepresentation. However, I believe the traces have the clue hidden in there.

SIP Trunk weird behaviour - IPO500v2 behind Cisco NAT

@holdmusic34, the SIP provider has given me the test number of +254206190790. I have entered this as-is on each extension's SIP authentication tab. Let me try again and see what happens. I am not sure I should have the (+) but most documents I've read during the exercise seem to say I can have...

SIP Trunk weird behaviour - IPO500v2 behind Cisco NAT

It's my first SIP Trunk ever, and it's my first IPO 500v2 ever so this is pretty new to me. I have read so many articles enough to get my SIP Trunk up, but working with weird behavior. My IPO is connected using LAN1 behind a Cisco router. I has to forward port 5060 on the Cisco to the IP...

    IPOFFICE 406V2 - H323 IP Telephone

Someone please make me understand the question correctly, and some answers. My understanding of the question is that the poster wants to establish whether or not he can use IP Phones with IPO406v2. To that I say the answer is YES - as long as there is a VCM card installed on the control unit...

How many IP ENDPOINT Licenses do I need?

amriddle01 - that is true. I think at that time I unknowingly posted something that is against the rules although I honestly don't recall what it was:-) I am hoping I will not fall into that trap again. So, If I plan to have 45+ phones, I should probably to get 60 end-point licenses?? Hmm, this...

How many IP ENDPOINT Licenses do I need?

The Wireless phones are not IP DECT, but rather the 3645. Do they need licences in IPO500v2 at all? Is it also correct that for these 3645 WRLS phones to work, I need 2 units of AWTS NETLINK AVPP 20 RHS? Thanks

How many IP ENDPOINT Licenses do I need?

In an IPO500v2 ESSENTIAL setup, I intend to have 30 Wireless phones and 15 IP Phones, with the possibility of growth, though not already projected. How many licenses do I need in such a scenario? I'm coming from the IPO400 world where no licenses were required for IP and Wireless phones.. Thanks

Which Avaya WLAN handsets for IPO500?

Thanks gwebster for that detailed analysis and for confirmation on the 3641/3645. I especially cannot find any good information regarding the 61xx series WLAN handsets and wonder where they are used.

Which Avaya WLAN handsets for IPO500?

That is a nice suggestion. I will talk to a Business Partner about this too. I am doing a Wireless network and can have prioritization for voice traffic. Not such a big issue. In fact, I believe ubiquiti equipment does this by default for voice and video. There will not be much traffic on my...

Avaya IP Office Software Upgrade Policy changes effective 15 September

And here I am, looking into buying an IP0 500 (8.1(x))? Let me start looking for IPO412 from Amazon:-) I simply don't see why I should get into this mess, seriously.
