Keep users in Application - No Access to Command Window

Using FPW2.6A on Windows 2000 network Is there a simple way to ensure users can't get to the command window? I have a menu driven program. When an error occurs, and the user hits cancel - they get taken to the command window. Any way to prevent that? Can't find the manuals that came...

Thanks for the tip. We've got it running now on a mini-all W2K workgroup and it seems to be running fine so far. We'll see how it goes over time

    Win 98 & Win2K using same DBF's - Keeps Corrupting

We already installed SP3. I think what we're going to try now is to have all the w/s use W2K - and see if that eliminates the error. Also, we will all use FPW2.6 instead of a mixture of 2.6 and Visual 6.0 We'll see how it goes in a couple of weeks!

    Win 98 & Win2K using same DBF's - Keeps Corrupting

I'm not using Memo fields at all - but the problem seems to arise with writing to the dbf. The dbf tracks order requests - so everyone taking the orders is accessing the dbf, and adding records to it. Any other suggestions on how to resolve the issue?

    Win 98 & Win2K using same DBF's - Keeps Corrupting

I have multiple workstations working with the same DBF's - accessing, reading data, writing to the dbf. Most w/s are on Win98, 1 is W2k. After a few hours have passed, ALL users start getting an "Internal Consistency Error". In order to continue, I have to make a new DBF with the same...

Not a DBF in Win2000, but OK in Windows 98

I did not load the patch, because I wasn't getting the Divide by Zero error when FoxPro started. I discovered today, that I am getting the error message when another user has the dbf open. Even though Exclusive is Off. The users on the Win 98 systems don't get a similar error. Only the user...

I just got a new PC w/Windows 2000 loaded on it. I installed FPW2.6 a. I keep getting the dreaded "Not a Dbf" error message, when in fact, the .dbf is accessed fine from PC's running Windows 98 Any idea what could be causing this problem? Thanks!

How to Print Barcode on Report?

I'm using FPW 2.6a and would like a barcode to print on first page of a report. Can you tell me how to accomplish this? I have a number of barcode printing programs (BarTender, LabelWrite) - but I don't don't know how to get them into a report. BTW, the barcode to be printed is an order number...

    Network Printer Dilemma

Unfortunately, I can't use the set printer to with a machine name because it isn't attached to a computer! It has its own network connection directly into the network. The network recognizes it as a printer, FPW also recognizes it (eventually). Any other options that would allow my users to...

    Network Printer Dilemma

Running FPW2.6a on a Windows '98 Peer to Peer Network. I have a printer that is NOT attached to a specific printer. Rather it is directly cabled to the Windows Network When I issue a report form xyz to print prompt, the name of the network printer shows up. However, if I just hit enter (or...
