Ya, thanks allworx. I looked around old posts and saw something similar.
I think it's a "just check it every now and then" solution. Not very important data anyway.
Now I need to figure out how to stop external callers from ringing certain extensions. But, internal extensions need to be...
Thanks norstarboy123...I'll look into that.
Next question: I've got a guest mailbox, the general mailbox, and a subscriber mailbox that I'd like to "link" in some way so that any message in any of those 3 will give a message indicator at a particular extension. Is this possible?
There was some question, but I incurred the risk.
Working well now regarding what I needed. I now need to figure out how to stop external callers from ringing into internal extensions I don't want.
Change DND didn't work. I think I'm just screwed there. There is only one incoming line for that extension, so when the user is on that line, it is presented as busy to the phone company.
I think people get around this by actually NOT publishing the direct number or something. Folks just...
Got it.
I popped over there and made some quick changes. One interesting thing was with the one-to-one mapped lines to extensions. The VM works fine with the CFNA programmed (and I also set CFB to the VM). But, if the user is on their phone when someone calls, the caller just gets a busy...
Firstly, thanks for all your help.
I understand, now, that it's going to be a YMMV with this thing connected.
By changing LINE->LINE DATA->SUPERVISION to Y, does that just mean that the call pilot can attend to those lines? Without the Y, the callpilot would not be able to answer that...
Hmmmm...it sure is working with my current system (well, at least it responds to F983 stuff, etc., and has allowed me to configure the mailboxes, record those mailbox greetings, etc.)
It is a DS system. 5.1 release
Just got a CallPilot 100 for our 8x24 DR5 system. We didn't have voicemail before. So, now wading thru this and looking for advice.
- We have 4 incoming lines that are mapped to different prime sets (so that that particular outside number rings a particular phone.) If that extension isn't...
Hi All.
I'm "maintaining" a Meridian 8x24 system at a school. It's been plugging along nicely. I added a new station module with the help of this forum and all went great. Well, now somebody wants to take a look at adding voicemail to the device. It currently has none. What are my options...
Update:
I went thru and wrote down the programming changes that were different from the defaults. I then changed the extensions to 3 digits. Powered it down, inserted the 6 port expansion along with the 16 station expansion unit plugged in to the bottom, and powered it back up. It did lose...
Thanks for the data Brian.
I guess I better figure out a way to back this system up. It's not very involved, so going thru the menus should work for me. I read about getting a RAD device and some software, but that seems like a stretch for this application. Any tips about important things to...
Hi.
We've got an old 8x24 Nortel system with firmware DS5 in it. It currently has no expansion. We've got it full of extensions, so I found a 6 port expansion card and a station module that will plug in. I'm wondering about the correct method of doing this? Is it a:
- power down
- plug new...
