I need to add a TN2224 (24 port digital station card to a very old Definity. Definity was installed in the early to mid 1990s.
Do I need to power down the system before installing the card or can I just "plug it in"?
Thanks
We have a customer with a Definity and Audix six port voicemail. Two of the six voice ports have quit working (call is answered but not audio) and have been disabled.
The Audix has Circuit packs TN 2169 and TN 567. Do I replace both of the circuit packs or only one to get back to six working...
We have a customer set up so that incoming calls ring on extension 201 then after 8 seconds on all phones then after another 8 seconds the call goes to auto-attendant with the message "We are unable to take your call at this time ...dial 0 to leave a message in voicemail". When the caller dials...
The installation manual says that the voicemail system administrator mailbox is 99 but it doesn't work - don't know which version of mail. Is there another box or boxes I need to try?
Thanks
I got the 406 defaulted and can now program it. Now I have another problem. The system has 4 analog trunks and I have programmed line appearance buttons for each but I can't access the lines using the buttons dial 9 works fine and incoming calls come in on the appearance button not the line...
My boss asked me to get an old IP office system off the shelf to use for a customer for about 90 days.
We have a 403 and a 406 they both work but I can't access the systems with Manager. In fact I can't ping either system using address 192.168.42.1. I'm assuming that the address for each...
We have a customer that needs different auto-attendant treatment for days and nights. They want to direct the calls to the night auto-attendant manually. Time profiles won't work for their needs.

We reinitialized the Callpilot 150 on a Norstar and now feature 983 does not work. When you dial F983 it comes back as inactive. Other codes 981 and 982 are good. Any ideas?
I have a customer with a Panasonic TDA 50 phone system and a TVA 50 voice mail. One user has a DT343 phone and I can't get the message light to go out. No new messages and 3 old. Any ideas on why the light won't go out?
Thanks
In the old days before cat-3 and cat-5 cable we extended t-1's using non-consecutive pairs. I don't know if we need to or not we just did it. If you have cat-3 or cat-5 tie cable you can use consecutive pairs with no problem.
Can I program a Norstar so incoming calls ring over the paging port? Or do I need to connect the analog line out of the ATA to an interface such as a Valcom?
Voice paging work great and I have an ATA that rings on all incoming trunk calls.
Thanks.
