So if I name HG and any where else the DID points to something different then the tag on the DID then I should be good correct?

I have multiple DIDs that needs to go to different users but be answered by different company names. Is there a way the I can label a DID so that when a certain DID is called then that label is displayed on the Avaya phone and the user knows how to answer the call for the specific company...
I know its a little funky. I'm working with customer provided stuff so I'm trying to make it work. I thought that it would lock up, I just wanted to be sure. Thanks for the help.

Guys I have a quick question... I have a r9.0.3 500 cabinet that I need to take the SD card out and install a r9.1 SD card in. If I back up the cfg and then default the cabinet with the NEW SD card will the cabinet lock up or should it be fine? The new SD card doesn't have any upgrade license in...
I've rebooted so many times, it has come down to distance. I know the specs says 3280 feet for 9500s but I'm at 1200 plus and it doesn't work, but under 1050 feet it does work. Also all my 5400s work any where. Looks like I either have a weird batch of phones or I just called AVAYA's specs out...
QUICK UPDATE.... I rebooted the system and now the locked up "please wait" ports are working. Now I'm going to try and plug back in to the far side of the building again and see what happens.

OK, I'm now going crazy. I've came back to fluke test the cabling and everything is fine. I've plugged the 9508 phone directly into the tie (which is over 800 feet) and it works, but when I add the station cabling to the scenario and plug the phone into the station jack the phone display's...
I've double checked that to be correct. I was hoping that was the issue as well but it's not, thanks for the response.

Yeah I just verified from the tie it works but beyond that it doesn't. I do have a question of how could it even get power if the cable is messed up?

So the wiring could cause that? Where they are being plugged into there is a 400' 25 pair tie cable between the suites, but I do have other phones working though. I guess I need to certify the cabling to be sure.

My customer had a 500 V1 with R4.6 and a ton of 5420 phones. I upgraded them to 9.1.7 and replaced V1 for V2 and swapped out a IP400 mod for a 30 DS V2 IP500 mod. I reprogrammed for scratch and added 4 9508 phones. Everything is good accept 2 of the 9508 phones are stuck in "please wait". I can...
My provider requires those ports to be open ,and I got it working. It was AT&T router causing the problems. Again all those who helped thank you and the one who talked trash..... well I will just stay professional.

DavidCT not sure why you need to be negative. I have plenty of IPO experience just having a hard time with SIP. Next time keep negative thoughts to your self. My nights been stressful enough and I don't need your insults.
PMCook I thought the same thing. The IT guy told me he enabled top...
My customer has a SIP trunk and they can recieve in bound calls fine but every outbound call get dropped after 30secs. Any ideas? Ive made sure the ALG SIP is disabled and

client was asking about a live Internet radio show, with listener call-ins, which would require multiple incoming lines, VOIP, and the line control unit would require a SIP server to handle the lines
Does anyone have any suggestions on this?
