He tested it just now and says that the incoming call does, indeed, ring at the target extension but, when not answered, he hears his own mailbox greeting and not that of the target extension. Maybe it's supposed to work that way but I couldn't find any information in the DSX documentation that...
I received this report today:
Extension 301 went on vacation and turned on call fwd immediate to extension 302. When they returned, they say they found "a bunch of voice mails" on their own VM. Can this be true? I would assume that a Cfwd/Immediate would play/use the destination extension's...
Elite IPK. When I press Feature + the first three buttons, they show CO Line 1, CO Line 2 and CO Line 3.
When I press Feature + the fourth button, it shows "Unused."
The first three buttons in the top row of the dterm 80 phone have CO lines 1, 2 and 3. We hooked up a new CO line to the system and would like to program the fourth button, which is currently not programmed, to hit this new CO line 4. How can we do that?
Thank you.
For anyone reading this, I figured out what was going on. The problem extension was designated as the operator for the system and the operator always gets off-hook signaling on a DSX.
Normally, when you try to intercom someone else in the office who is on their phone, you get "that extension is busy" or something like that. However, on one particular extension, it stopped doing that. Now, when you intercom that in-use extension, you hear it ringing and that person's phone...
So the client must have done something because extension 11's speakerphone is always on when they pick up the phone. The handset still works, but the speakerphone also comes on when they pick up the handset and cannot be turned off. It's as if the "Off-hook monitor" is permanently on...
We've often ordered things through their telephones.com website over many years, but now their website is gone (just shows the NetSol squatter's slide) and all their phone numbers are disconnected.
I know we can still go elsewhere when we need something, but I'm the curious sort. I checked the...
Just in case someone in a similar situation finds this thread, I figured out what the problem was.
The manual's statement, "ETU interface cards are assigned automatically during initial power up," isn't necessarily correct. The slot I put the card into is slot #4 (slot #1 in programming refers...
I have this NEC Electra Elite 48 system that has all 8 extensions assigned. We want to add another extension, meaning we have to add another card.
So I got a ESI(8)-U10 ETU Station Interface Card and placed it in what I think is slot #3 (see attached image -- it's the card on the right.) Now...
Hello, everyone.
We have this Lucent Partner system. To help identify it, here are a couple of snapshots:

As you can see, it has two 206E R4.1 modules for a total of 4 x 12. I'm wondering if we...
The cost between the two options isn't significant.
My understanding is that if we have CO lines in both locations terminating in two separate SL1100 switches and tie the two systems together via IP, the CO lines in one location cannot have DSS on the extension sets of the other system. Is...
My understanding is that we can install an SL1100 system in two locations in different buildings/cities and then connect them together over IP (Internet) making the two locations behave as if they were on the same PBX. In other words, every extension in both locations can have DSS for every...
