Problem with a BM12 button module

Update on this issue. I connected the call server and the phone to a HP 1700 switch (the phone was powered by an PoE injector), and connected the switch to the client's network, in order to keep the other phones in operation. This isolates the call server and the phone from an eventual problem...

Problem with a BM12 button module

jayjr1105 Good point, but I'll have to put a small switch in between the PBX and the client's or else I'll stop all the other phones. I'll test that, but it will take some days to implement and test. Thank's for the tip. I'll update this post as soon as possible. Vasco

Problem with a BM12 button module

So, update on this problem. The problem occurs on both modules AND on the phone. So it should be a problem with the info from the PBX to the phone. I'm inclined to think it's a problem with the client's network, but sniffing the ethernet on both the PBX and the phone to look for discrepancies...

intrigrant Thank's, that sounds like a good point and a good way to proceed. I don't know if the receptionist has problems on one or the two modules, but I'll check. I'll update with more info as soon as possible. Vasco

Problem with a BM12 button module

jayjr1105 Yes, It was the first thing I checked. Besides, the buttons lights up after she tries to transfer (or so I understand), so if it lights up it's checking the user state, right? It wouldn't light up in case of dial+extn.

    Remote H.323 RTP Ports

Specific codec for a VoIP call

Hi everyone Some insight for my problem first: A client has an IP500 R6.1, previously connected to a PRI trunk. Everything was working great, but he decided to change to SIP, due to excessive line failures and downtime on the PRI trunk. The provider instaled a fiber ethernet access with Cisco...

hunt group overflow to external number

Hi Check the overflow time, see if another timer, like no answer time on the dummy extn, isn't interfering. Also check the type of ringing on the group. Don't know why, but collective wont work with dummy extn. Hope it helps. Vasco

Problem with mobile twinning on IP Office IP500v2

Hi everyone. First a litle insight on the problem: A customer has a group of mobile phones that can call each other using a reduced number (GSM group). When they call numbers outside the group, the 9 digit number is the CLI, when they call within the group, a 4 digit CLI is used, is this case...

    IP Office with SVP-II problem

Hi all I'm installing a new IP Office system with a AVPP to control the WiFi phones. The phones register on the PBX, I can see them on system status, but the phones won't make nor receive any calls. I've traced the traffic on the switch and I can see the packets going from the phone to the...
