The phones read the ha1608ua1_343A.bin, then reboot.
It won't start so it is difficult to upgrade/downgrade... also the remaining working phones hace the same .bin
I supposed all are faulty, it just seems odd that 28 of 100 are bad
hi!
I've finished implementing an IPO 500 r8.1(81) and 28 of 100 avaya 1608 phones are having this issue the phone boots, read the .bin file then change the screen and when it have to show the "dhcp * to configure" the phone restarts, so I have no option to enter the configuration to try to...
Hi,
A quick question:
does anybody knows how to display in the avaya phones the numbers dialed during a call, ie. during an IVR session when you type other options or your account number, etc..
I see them in the softphone, but in avaya and nortel phones the digits in the display remains the...
indeed here in Mexico the bandwidth is still an issue, even the ISDN lines are an issue because we use R2 MFC
the satellite network our customer have is limited in bandwidth so they need to optimize it, but I already talk to them and it's clear 25k is the best they'll get.
still.... thanks to...
thanks guys!!!
amriddle - thanks, the call control tip was great!
intrigant - thanks for your response I´ll try your setup, because the lines number are the same today, each site has its own MOH

ok, guys
The only thing is:
Whenenver I make the call if the IPO1 (with external digital lines, over 300 IP and Digital extensions) place the call on hold the bandwidth ups to 25k
when the IPO2 (with only IP extensions and the SCN) place the call on hold, the bandwidth stays at 8k
it can be...
Hi Guys,
We setup a SCN with 3 IPO and it´s working OK, but we have an issue with the Bandwidth.
We select the codec G729 as preferred over the SCN and when we make a call it uses 25kpbs to establish the call, then drop to 6-8 kbps and that's great but when we put the call on hold it ups again...
Hola Guys!
We have a costumer needing to implement a better helpdesk software for ticketing.
We intend to use de IVR feature in the IPO to create the tickets directly from the phone.
So I want to ask you if anyone of you have done anything similar or if you have any recommendation regarding...
OH!
That's right, just when we switched to DHCP client it deletes the HG, it's a glitch then.
OK, we won't do the DHCP client anymore.
The request was because the client has several gateways and 1 is the MPLS so it did'nt have connectivity with others sites, even though we configure the IP...
I have grounded the IPO and still having problems, it seems it is a problem with the lines, so we decided to change to E1.
Thanks guys, for trouble!!!!
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the feedback,
YES, we have recording, it's a small CCR with 6 users using softphones.
NO, it is not properly grounded, let me do that and I get back to you
thanks tlpeter,
i install a VCM32, but for now i'm unable to remove the combos. is this some kind of help?
do you know how the IPO use the VCM Channels?
i uses the slots so if I install the VCM32 in the slot1 it will use first this VCM channels?
I think what you should do is regenerate the SD Card
Start your system
make a call
and then upgrade to release 8
with this procedure the system will generate an Essential Virtual License and you will be able to upgrade without a license.
Hi Guys,
I have an IPO 500v2 R8.0(44) with 15 analogue lines, have a mix of phone sets Nortel 7316, Avaya Digital 1408, 1416, 9508 and Avaya IP 9641, 9620 and softphones.
The problem is with the IP Sets and the softphones when trying to use DTMF: it's not working, it sounds rare and it seems...
Hi guys,
It works now, the problem was the analog lines and the 9N shortcode, we have user shortcodes, so we create a new system shortcode.
This solution does not work with analog lines :(
Thanks to all for your help.!!![thumbsup]
