Wow, I really appreciate this after a v stressful day! My parentheses were wrong, and the IN function worked a treat! Thank you so much.

DCount With 'OR' Returning All Records in Table!

I have a DCount problem that is driving me crazy. I have searched the posts and can't find anyone with the same problem. I am building a query based on a table called tblRegItem. I want to count items based on itemNumber. If I enter: DCount("[itemNumber]","tblRegItem","[itemNumber] = 1")...

Weekdays between dates - DateDiff() function

Thanks PHV, I saw it but I was just hoping that the dateDiff function had been fixed by Microsoft. I will use the code or just skip the text box. Thanks for writing back :)

Weekdays between dates - DateDiff() function

Hi, I am using Access 2003 and it has the same bug: "w" returns weeks not weekdays with DateDiff. I tried using "DateDiffW" as recommended in the Knowledge Base article linked above, but it returns an error. I am frustrated because 1) The version of Access I'm using is newer than what the...

Need to remove multiple HTML Checkboxes in Excel Macro

Hi, I have the same problem: copied and pasted a table from the Web into Excel, but I can't select or delete the checkboxes (although I can click 'in' them to make a checka appear). Edit-goto-special-objects comes up 'no objects found'. If I delete the column that the checkboxes appear in, the...

Word Template - Can Length of Table Vary With User Input?

Thanks...I know you can do that with a Word document but I don't see how that works with a template. Would the new rows you get by hitting the tab key have fields in them for the user to enter data into?

Word Template - Can Length of Table Vary With User Input?

Hi, I am creating a template to be used as an expense claim form. I would like to create a UserForm. I have a good amount of experience coding VBA for Access but it's my first time with Word. The finished document I envision will contain a table. I want the number of rows in the table to...

    CLEAN Function in Excel 2000

Hey Guys, I tried the above with Excel 2002 and the copy/paste values thing doesn't work. However I did find a super groovy way to do the same thing, if anyone's interested. Manually remove the apostrophe from one cell in the column. Copy and paste the format (using the paint brush button) to...

Can Excel Count Referencing Cells Not A Fixed Value???

Hi, This is driving me nuts. Sorry if it's a repeat question but I can't find this one in the forum. I am grading exams. I have two columns, one with the correct answer and one with the answer on the exam. It's a multiple choice test so the answers are just letters. At the bottom of the...

    How to find ielabel.ocx, ietimer.ocx?

OK, dumb question. I found out that these have been knocked off the latest versions of iexplorer. However I still want to do the exercises in the book, so I downloaded them from the msn site. Now my new, newbie question is: I still can't reference the controls thru html. I assume I've...

    How to find ielabel.ocx, ietimer.ocx?

Hi, I'm an ActiveX newbie, as the thread title suggests. I'm using a VBScript/ActiveX book that's a few years old. The examples in the book refer to things like ielabel and ietimer. I assume these were once installed on most Windows computers. I've got Windows 2000 installed (am using...

Thanks, you did help! I'll try re-installing the driver again. If that doesn't work, I'll try a USB mouse tomorrow.

Mouse not starting, cursor gone after installing software

Hi, Thanks again. There's no switch...I'm not sure what you mean by serial adapter, but it's just an ordinary scrolling mouse with a round plug with six pins. I'm sure it's plugged in OK since it worked and then stopped working again after reboot.

    I deleted and re-formatted the C: drive.

Mouse not starting, cursor gone after installing software

Hi, thanks for the response (fellow Mainer!) OK, here's what I've tried since the posting. Tried safe mode, no mouse. Then, I wiped the C: drive and re-installed Windows. At first, the mouse was back!!!! However, after re-booting following install of NIC driver, mouse and cursor were gone...
