awesome... i just upgraded an IP403DS to an IP500v2 with VMPro, i didn't know/think to get essential or essential upgrade with the new order.
So it "should" work with VMPro coming across to make the new R8 system Preferred edition... and that trumps an essential edition any day you'd think?
we have specific addresses for the faxing on a couple of ours,
so sip.orcacom.co.nz for the registration based trunks, then trunk.orcacom.co.nz for direct SIP trunks, no reg.
then fax.orcacom.co.nz for G.711 or T.38 connections with reinvite support etc etc on the Avaya.

I've done this as a matter of course since the SD cards came out, as we had major majors with the known problems of cfg not being written to the card etc, and local advice was a clean slate...
other method with registered trunks is URI set to use Authentication name in the drop down boxes and set an incoming line group ID that's unique and that you can set in the ICR to put the call to the hunt group you require. kinda turns it into a multi channel analogue trunk ay. and you can set...
there's lots you could do... what would be ideal?
ideally receptionist would put DND or out of group on when they walk from their desk for long periods...
then have other ext in the group so call is presented to next available immediately.

IP500v2 6.0.18 with 4 Channel SIP on Public IP from Orcon.
Tried trunk to trunk, via seq hunt group with user uncond fwd to external number.
Result, connects OK, RTP relay shows sys status, but no speech...
