Hmmmm...OK. So my path should be, Install FP5 on the M\M server. Run the Uninstall for Upgrade on the M\M server. Then install MP6. And then i should do the same for all clients?

So the highest revision of FP (5), has more upgrades on it than the MP (6)?

Ok... That was my next question. Which is a higher revision, the FP or the MP? Does FP5 have more fixes in it than MP6?

Did you change your password while you were logged into multiple machines? Ive seen our users do this many times and it always screws up their accounts and locks them out.

Sounds like your event log size is too small and it is cousing the service to hang. Are you Logging\tracking mail messages? If you are, turn it off. You can increase the default size of your logs or set it to overwrite the logs as needed. HTH

actually, i get the same Socket Read Failed when i try to querry the server through the Java interface.

when i use the /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bp command, i get a socket read failed error.

On the Master server, i cant see all the files that are supposed to be backed up :? Have selected all local drives on the backup plolicy so i should be able to see things like /usr/bin/any_file but i cant. Did i miss a config entry when i installed the client or the services on the master...

Sounds good. FYI what i have done is set up Differential Policies which i have directed to a Differential Pool and Monthly Policies with a higher priotity setting that i have directed to a Monthly Pool. The Tapes that are written to in the Montly Pool will be archived. Thanks for your help.
