We have two local area codes in our area and would like to setup a translation rule to use 7 digit dialing on one area code and 10 digital dialing for the other. Is this possible to do in CME? Thanks
Is it possible to setup a translation rule that will not require users to put in an area code for local calls? The tricky part is we have two local area codes so some kind of logic would need to be included that would allow the translation rule to know when to inject what area code. Also users...
Recently changed the IP of our CME server and now phones don't appear to be loading the XMLdefault.cnf.xml file. When I run a sh telephony-service tftp-binding I get the following lines:
tftp-server tftp://12.52.91.57/SEPDEFAULT.cnf alias SEPDefault.cnf
I believe I am missing a line for the...
Hi,
I am trying to permit a range of ip's access to a range of internal ip's that use dynamic nat to one external ip address using ACL. Is this possible? What would my acl look like? Thanks
I am able to run a wired cisco voip phone through our vpn just fine but I can't seem to get a cisco voip wireless phone to work. Am I missing something somewhere? The access point that the wireless phone is connected to is working just fine as I am able to connect to it with my laptop. Can...
I'm looking for a way to monitor Desktop up time/downtime. Basically I want to be able to see if employees are shutting off there computers and night. I would also like it to monitor network connectivity of our servers/gateways. I am looking for something that does both and is simple to use...
We currently use CME/CUE for our phone system which connects to our overhead paging system through an E&M port. We are looking for some way to record, schedule and manage pre recorded announcements we can broadcast over our overhead paging system. If possible we would love to be able to manage...
Is it possible to do a conference call in CME 7.1 with more then three people? Currently using the confrn button on the cisco phone only allows me to add two other people to the call. If so how? If not then what are my options?
How do you setup a quick dial button on an IP phone to dial a long distance access code after the number? We use a 9 to dial out and have a three digit long distance access code that needs to be put in after the number is dialed.

Nevermind on the last question, I was able to get the E&M port configured and working. Thanks for all the help, you were way more helpful then the muzak monkeys and cisco tech support robots.
Our paging system does not have an external push-to-talk control input. All is has is the audio input. When I asked our paging system support tech about this push-to-talk control input they responded with "it is initiated by a mute coming form a microphone or a phone system". Not really sure...
Thanks for your responses.
Yes you are correct the amp is looking for a 600ohm input. Just to reiterate everything, we currently we use a PBX system which connects to the overhead paging system. The overhead paging amplifier uses a TOA L11s paging module as the input. We want to get rid of...
The amplifier is line level going into our system which will probably be a mono RCA jack so I’d say trunk port. Can you provide info on the configuration?
I am trying to integrate our Muzak overhead paging system with our CME router. The paging system does NOT supply a dial tone. It just acts as an amplifier. Would I need an FXO or FXS port to connect to the system?. Could you please post a sample config that show's me how this is done.
