R9.0.6. Essential. Is there a way of shortening the delay from last digit entered to when the system initiates a call? The only way I know of it to changed the shortcode to dial the line group which causes other issues. With analog trunks it takes almost 10 seconds to begin dialing.
I am doing an upgrade to 10.1. Customer currently has 5420 phones. I discovered their firmware is 4.x. I looked at the 10.1 release notes and there is no new firmware file for those phones. How can I upgrade them to 6.0? Or is 4.x OK?
OK, I see it is the embedded messaging flash card they need. I will have a look on Monday. What I can say for now is that they do have voicemail and there is a greeting recorded for the AA but the AA does not pick up.
I've got a lot of experience on the 500not the 406. So I am taking on this system. The previous tech created an AA named AA1. He never figured out how to make it answer. I have tried the SC with "AA:AA1" and also without quotation marks. Neither work. I have not had t0o use the quotation...
IPO 406 R4.0. I created a shortcode *400/auto attendant/AA:AA1/0. It does not work. I get a message "incompatible" on the screen. It works in IPO 500. How can I do the same thing in IPO 406?

Most likely a auto-dialer calling ever number in an exchange to gather stats on when it gets answered and by what. Telemarketeres pay big money for information like that. I get them every day.
This client makes extensive use of conference calling. The boss is an executive who lives in his car or one of his jets. He will be on the road, call his assistant and says "get so and so on the phone." The assistant rings up the person and then conferences him in to the Big Guy. Then he...
No idea how adding her favorite phone throws anything out. You can run both 7600s and 9500s at the same time. Get a Soundstation 2 or a B159. Problem solved. The 9608 has better sound quality as somebody else mentioned.
If she's going to be that fussy the only solution is to add a TCM card and give her a 7610. FWIW, the7600 series never impressed me as far as sound quality went. The 9508 is much better IMO.
