    Thanks for the response but I'm not trying to check tones, I'm trying to test the phone ringer. There should be a facility to dial a digit (or digits),hang up and the pabx would ring back so that the phone 'bell' is tested.

    Is there a procedure for single handed checking of a phone extension on the SX2000? The SX200 had this facility. Certain digit or digits were entered, handset replaced and the extension under test would ring.Can't find any mention of this facility in my SX2000 documents.

    Have a Mitel SX2000 light offshore with E1 link to another offshore Mitel which provides 12 onward E & M trunks to shore.The problems start around 7.30 pm when the tv soap finishes and crew decide to phone home to discuss episode with spouses etc.Sad I know but the problems start when all 12...
