We currently have a nurse call system that uses a server connected to a 2246 OAI gateways to send text notifications to the 6140 spectralink VOIP (UNISTM) wireless phones via a RS-232 connection. They are changing out the server to a new one that does not have RS-232 connectivity and we would...
I have not run into this scenario before but I was told that I could do a copy command CPY 1 from an ACD set (3905) but received an error code that I could not copy with a DIG programmed. I removed the DIG and was able to copy and add the POS for the new TN. However, now I can't put the DIG...
I don't think it is possible to answer a TAFAS call on a set, put it on hold and answer another TAFAS call unless that set is programmed as a sub-attendant and you have the initial call in a hold slot.
I am not sure and have a customer asking me if it's possible to answer a TAFAS call on a M/R...
We have a vendor that is proposing the Biamp Vocia solution and is promoting it to the "brass" as having:
"No head-end" so if one device goes down the system still operates on remaining on-line components;
1. If the MS-1 fails, how does that affect the entire solution?
2. What other devices...
@pandbear1 The printout is the same for working and non-working phones. Shows wakeup set and for working shows wakeup answered, non-working not answered.
@kwbmitel The lamps work on all phones and all phones ring when called directly from any telephone. They just don't ring on a wakeup call...
All of them are not on the same card and I deleted them and reprogrammed them with no change.

All phones, working and nonworking have the same COS, COR, TENANT, and any other programming. None have DND enabled. All ring properly when called and if checked in forward to VM after 4 rings and if not checked in goes to front desk after 4 rings. That is what has me baffled since they all...
I have a property where a couple of guest room phones won't ring on an incoming wakeup call whether set at the room via FAC or VM or by the console. I swapped the ONS cards just to make sure it isn't a card issue. There are no error or alarm logs that show an issue.
Any assistance will be...
Thanks I knew it was something simple(stupid) I was overlooking. Funny thing is, I asked the IT guy if it was 10 or 100 and he told me it was auto and the light bulb never went off. Must be a faulty circuit. Lol

I have a 100ST Media converter that I'm connecting to a 3COM 3c17304 Gbic fiber module in port 27. Everything links but DHCP won't work and if I set up my laptop as a static it won't work either. No filtering or mac/ip specific programming is done on the switch according to the customer's IT...
I'm sure I missed a bulletin but I can't access my customers' MBG since I went to a Windows 7 Pro machine with IE 9. I get a error stating cookies aren't enabled even though I selected enable all cookies all the time and restarted both the browser and my pc. What gives?

Here's what I did and it worked even though I was told it doesn't make a difference. I changed 2 registry keys on the "server" and have not had a dropped connection since.
I found this online in a blog and it worked with no other apparent issues so far:....

I ininherited a switch that is using Analog trunks that ring into Multicall Keys. The switch is running MCD sw 5.0. The customer wants me to set it up to have the incoming calls on the analog trunks to go to voicemail after 6 rings but to leave the individual phones to forward after 4. Where...
I have a network with 6 Win7 machines and 3 XP machines with a WIN7 "server" for sharing files. I can connect to the WIN7 "server" with the XP machines but they then drop connection and the only way to reconnect is to reboot the "server". Even after losing connection I can ping the server by...
Okay, I know someone out there has run into this issue and I'm getting a headache trying to figure out how to make it work.
Scenario 1: guest calls into the property and wants to make a reservation. The front desk is busy and forwards to the national reservation line by dialing Ext 6xx which...
Make sure you aren't trying to update the software version of the PRI card to a NSU SW version. If it's trying to do that when you save the database it will fail every time and it can FUBAR your PRI card

I just got a new Win 7 64bit Laptop and was wondering if there's a way to backup an 200Elx via PuTTy?

Using VPN does work but I only did it for one customer as a temporary fix until the cable company connected their sites together via fiber. Until then I used a VPN via a PTP T1. A VPN on normal broadband will have issues but if it's just one phone for testing, you might be able to live with it...
