I looked through the fcos and I have 260-264 and 280 set, but it still just shows the main line as the caller ID. Could there be a setting on the Mitel side to allow that? I have a 3300 with firmware version 4.0.
I have a voicemail box with call director enabled, that does a supervised transfer to a speed call number that goes to an external number. When a call is forwarded, the same caller ID shows up (default for the system) for all calls. Is there a way to pass the caller ID of the phone that is...
The way I was thinking of doing it was to have the router map an external address, 1 to 1, to all the ports of the 3300's internal address.
Is the 3300 set up to not let a random person connect and start messing around, sending stuff through those ports, so they would have to be registered...
I have a Sip license and set up an extension and I was wondering what would be the best way to be able to make calls from anywhere.
Would having the 3300 open to the internet be a bad idea? Does STUN work kind of like a firewall? What if I closed all but the necessary ports?
I have an alarm that shows up on the top of the web management page, when I go to Maintenance and Diagnostics > Alarm Details, it really doesn't show what the problem is. Is there anywhere that I can see more info on the alarms?
I talked with one of the Rogers techs and did a test call with him so he could get some data. He told me that they have caller ID name passing enabled and when they looked at the data from the call they only saw the number and not the name coming from our system.
Tried that command and it's showing less info than the previous one.
So it seems that the system is in fact sending the data out, is it possible that the provider is just ignoring the data?
Do I have to get the provider to set up something so they preserve the information?
I've looked into it a little more and apparently I need to go through yellow pages to get a name set up like that.
And to clarify, I just needed to have the company name show up when a call is placed on that phone, it doesn't matter if the number shows up as well.
Im not sure of the protocol but i know that it is T1.
I checked the name substitution option and it showed it was enabled, I set the department name and tested it but it still didn't work. I took a look at the other class of service sets (there are 3) and I changed both the other ones to the...
When I called them they told me that they can't set the caller ID name and that I would have to do it. Would this mean that I would need to talk to someone else about it. We are with Rogers in Canada if that helps.
This is for outbound calls, also from a specific extension. For example all calls from extension 1000 would say the company name.
