Is this only for Windows? I have HP-UX , AIX and Tru64 machines and I usually configure the Media Changers using the Special Device name...
By the way , do you have any idea of how configure the persistent binding?
Thank you.
Alexandre
Dear All,
Due to SCSI Address changing , I´m trying to configure
the SCSI Jukebox to manage the ROBOT through the
"Device Name" , "\\.\Changer0" , I mean.
Although "Inquire" CAN see that device (\\.\Changer0) , I got "no such file or directory" after configure the "Control Port".
I´m using...
Well,
Now I have two new SAN Switches with version:
Kernel: 2.4.19
Fabric OS: v4.2.0b
So "bsn" and "ssn" doesn´t work anymore (cool!). The command "chassisshow" doesn´t give the serial that I need , the "vendor" serial , I mean...
Any suggestions??
Thanks.

If you are talking about EVA3000 or EVA5000 , this is a problem with vcs 3.001 and 3.010.
I´ve opened several calls at HP support , and the information that I´ve received is:
"The controller is too busy to communicate with the EMU handling IO requestes. This warning message will be corrected...
Guy,
In my company we have chosen to make a host based copy too for DRP (we have 4 EVA 5000). This process is "non-vendor dependant" and doesn´t have cost..
If you have performance issues during the copy , I would suggest to assign the source Vdisk to HBA emx0 , for example , and the...
Jvmv,
Actually this is a very recent configuration and I didn´t
execute any scanner yet. I´ll try and answer your question in near future.
Thanks for the answer.
Kind regards,
Persevalli

All,
I have a Alpha ES/40 Server running Tru64 5.1a. I have three DEGPA-SA (gigabit FC interfaces) with three different IP address , all of them on the same lan , configured with ifconfig.
If I telnet the server through the ALT1 interface and put ALT0 interface down , all connections became...
All,
If the backup is not completed yet , this information will be visible on the "SSFLAGS".
I´m not sure , but it´s easy to find out in the Legato´s documento "Command reference guide - mminfo" , this doc have all flags of the SSFLAGS (include the success of insucess of the...
I believe that you can accept those servers in the SAN , if you configure them to not be "managers hosts".
Do you imagine some king of host-based attack?
Thanks.
M:\>mminfo -s marte -q "savetime>06/16/03,savetime<06/17/03" -r "client(40),volu
me(20),name(60),totalsize(20),ssflags"
This command enter in the "marte" server and query all backup from the day 16 to day 17 , getting the totalsize by saveset.
You can also use...
You can also execute a QUERY in the Media Database (by mminfo -q ....) , after the backup.
If you need a example of the sintax , please let me know.
Thanks.
Where I can find information about part of the answer of the command "show unit" ?
The situation (example):
==============================
show d107
"a lot of well known stuff"
State:
ONLINE to this controller
Reserved
"a lot of well known stuff"...
OKAY...
This issue was corrected using the tool "DILX" at the Storage CLI.
This utility erase an "8 MB EISA PARTITION" in the disk (come from factory with this partition because it´s for Proliant servers...).
Ok , now I can go home and get some sleep.
Thanks.
I has the same problem.
Was only the Environment PATH.
Make sure you have the Notes BIN on path , the Legato BIN on path and the notes databases on path.
The path cannot be seted on the command window , needs to seted on CONTROL PANEL option.
The path correction solve my problem imediately...
Thanks for help.
Look , in one case , the volumes was working fine , and suddenly we lose them.
In other case , the assigned volumes never was seen by the NT...
It´s really strange...
I´m done the firmware upgrade , but still bad.
In one case , I can see the volumes again , but I have a lot...
