Ok So I have the keycodes installed for 2 IP clients on the BCM. The phone is saying "registration is disabled". I look all around in the Element Manager and can't find any setting for it. Do I need another code of some sort to allow IP phones to work? All I have right now is the 12 digital...
Ok got that part Frideo. Next noob question. Can I connect my I2004 phone to the BCM through the WAN. In other words, I am hosting my BCM on my network with DMZ forwarded to 192.168.1.102 which is the address to the BCM50. Can I take the IP phone to another location and plug it into a connection...
Ok I think I at least have a connection to the server, now it says.... "Server: No Ports Left". I'm assuming now once the IP set codes are entered I will go through with the full install?
Ok so now I have the BCM set up through my small business network. Its pulling DHCP from my router. My PC IP is 192.168.1.100 obviously the first address in the range. The BCM50 is 192.168.1.102. No issues connecting to BCM with the EM through the network. I plugged an I2004 phone into the next...
VZtech, I tried just the hard drive but not anything else. Its never starts the HD in the boot sequence and I can't get into it from serial port. I'll try the MSC card, maybe I can get lucky...
No its T1 but I am starting on the install tomorrow and just want to make sure everything is good. Is there a websiter for the recommended Nortel partner you are referencing?
I tried re-entering my entitlement codes through the element manager but it keeps tellin me the codes are invalid. I did the seq #1 then entered in the codes but no luck. What am I doing wrong?
Ok first question is what ports do I need to open up to allow full remote access to the BCM via Element Manager?
Next is the real issue. I have a customer that has a 400 that was lightning damaged. I picked up another same release 3.7 BCM 400 and can get in through the serial port. Even though...
The level 2 reset. I read through the entire section in the manual. I just tried pushing the button while it was running to watch the flash sequence but it never came.
Any ideas why when I try to do the reset by pushing the button it doesn't respond? I pushed the button a few times and can't get any blinking light to go through the reset sequence. Am I missing something?
Ok thanks guys, I will try what you say Frideo. I can get in through the digital set into F9*8 already so this seems like a logical step. Ok so after the reset you're saying the UN/PW that is default in the manual should work correct?
Also Firebird the IP address issues are resolved, everything now is a question of getting access through the user name and PW. Do you have anything on that?
