yes, because a plc cant be configured with any sort of connection, only with special software. Which needs to go over a VPN. U cant use a program over a logmein connection.

Neither of those is gunna support managing PLC's without a step in between.

If the IP addresses of your local network and the customers local network are the same, maybe the routing is not going correctly?

Site to site wont work either unfortunately, because of the problems with IP shemes. We have to many customers to organise it effectively.

The problem with that solution is that you have to run a little application on every client you wanna set the connection too. That wont work.
