I am using a workaround...placing the report indentifying information and title in the report header and moving the fields to the right. This leaves as large a left margin as needed for preprinted stationary. Anyone know of any pitfalls here?
Cheers!
I will give it a try Ace, thanks!
Here's the sistuation, I think it is less dramatic that you expect!
In a form which is used as a report editor, I have fields for Section Headers in the report. (a large medical legal report)
I need the users to be able to permanently change the headings to...
Is there any way I can allow a user to change a default value without going into design view in runtime?
I would like to allow users to be able to change the default value (table level default)to a default value of their entry.
Thanks!
I need to create a left side margin on a report for the FIRST page of a report to accomodate pre-printed stationary. Is there any way to do this?
Thank you!
Thanks for the efforts! Custom Menus do not fuction in Access Runtime. (like so many other valuable functions!)
Half of my time is spent working around these limitations of runtime.
It seems like a lot of work, but it shouldn't take up more screen real estate, as the toolbars could be replaced by the new hard coded bottons. Do you have any sample code? Some of the more esoteric commands like "Autocorrect, spell check, export to word" may be a bit difficult to hard code??
I have a problem with custom toolbars. It seems that some of my users do not see the custom toolbars in their runtime distribution of my db. Does anyone have a good grasp of how to make custom toolbars more reliable...so they actually show up on all users distibutions?
Thanks!
Hey Ace, thanks a million. Works like a charm as:
IIf([righttxtchk] And [lefttxtchk]=-1,[bilattxt],"")
This is easily the 100th time this forum as saved my bacon!
I want to return a value if 2 different check boxes are checked (-1) Something like:
IIf([rtxtchk]=-1) And IIf([ltxtchk]=-1),[bilattxt],"")
What is wrong with this expression? (sorry, I have been working too many hours !!)
Regarding distribution of an Access db to outside users:
I offer the user the CHOICE of installing the db with runtime of without runtime. In otherwords, IF the user has Access already installed, they should select installation of the db ONLY. If they do not have Access installed, they select...
I may have answered my own question! I thought I had tried it before, but entering defaults at form level DOES over-ride the table defaults. So I am happy! Any additional comments woould be helpful.
I have a backend table I can not update (at present, due the complexity involved). Is there a way I can make Form defaults over-ride the table defaults?
Thanks!
I am having trouble adding a button to reset unbound text fields to a value of "0". (the form is a calculator function and I want to be able to allow users to reset the fields to 0 with a button) Any help would be great!
I have worked with this problem for a couple years. MDE's will NOT save Printer Setups. It is a terrible MS Access weaknees. I would LVOE to allow users of my MDE's to be able to select and save printer setups. Maybe MS will wake up...some day?
