    Excel text to date conversion.

Hi All, I have some excel data with a text field that I'm trying to convert to a sortable date: The field contains (ex. "4DEC13, 9:19" "18NOV13, 9:07" 15NOV13, 11:50") and so on for multiple months/years etc... I'm unsure how to approach this since the day and time portions are not all the...

    Distribution Group/Recipient View

Is there a way to set up a distribution group to hide other non-group or all recipients of the email message? For example an email is sent from an external source to DistributionGroupA, user1, user2, user3. Can something be configured so that the members of DistributionGroupA do not see that...

Exchange 2003 - functional mailbox -tracing deletions

http://www.exchangeinbox.com/article.aspx?i=75 You can take a look into this, but I'm not sure if it tracks messages once they reach a mailbox. In this case it may be worthwhile to take a look at what rules each user has set.

    Shielded Twisted Pair Without Ground?

Hi All, I am working on a project transitioning my office's phone system over to a new VOIP system---This will involve running some new wiring. I have access to a supply of Shielded/UTP Cat5e wire (has a foil shield over the collection of pairs, but not each individual pair). My experience...

    New Data Location

For anyone interested, here is what I did. The instructions mentioned by fisheromacse I believe relate Crystal XI and I failed to mention that I am still in the prehistoric period w/ Crystal 8.5. For 8.5 I had to select 'set location' and just browse for the new datasource.

    New Data Location

I'm am in the process of moving a database from Access over to SQL Server. There is a group of reports pulling data from this Access database that will need to point to the new location. How could I go about changing the data location while still maintaining the existing report fields and...

    Copying Exchange MDBDATA Folder

Does anyone know what is required to make a copy of the MDBDATA folder on an Exchange 2003 server? It would not let me do so while the server was online--I assume because the information store was using it---but I do not want to unmount the information store only to find out there is something...

    VB.NET Book Recommendations

The book I have is called "ADO.NET and ADO Examples and Best Practices for VB Programmers" (Second Edition). The first half of the book is all ADO for vb6 so you may not find that useful, but the second half is ADO.NET and helps with the transition. This book is a bit old so I assume there are...

    VB.NET Book Recommendations

Thanks for the replies; I should have been a bit more clear. I will be using Visual Basic 2005. RiverGuy: I will also be reading into ado.net which I already have a decent book for.

    VB.NET Book Recommendations

Hi All, I have a limited amount of vb.net experience and am more or less trying to nose-dive into enhancing/developing corporate administrative applications with it (much is currently vb6). Can anyone recommend some good books that would be helpful for working in an ADO/SQL/Crystal-Reports...

    Crystal Datediff function

Thanks for the reply! I have looked a little deeper and found that my initial problem is with a select formula... I will try to work that out and then use your suggestion if I am still having problems.

    Crystal Datediff function

Hi all, I currently have a Crystal Reports 8.5 daily hours report that does a Datediff on the clock-in and clock-out times of a user. This part works fine assuming the user has clocked out. If the user has not yet clocked out the report returns blank. What I am trying to do is get the report...
