How do you make use of the H.323 feature of an old Avaya IP Office to setup a voip trunk connection?
Are there suppliers of H.323 in the UK?
What are the bandwidth requiremnts?
we have a tap in call recording device setup trunk side on the ISDN, can you imagine that changing between these versions would affect it (would be moving forward not back)
Hi
Is there a difference in Q.931 versions. Weve been told that a site has Q.931 V0.8 or (some version number similar), was installed 7 years ago or so. Is there a Q.931 V1, is There any difference?
PS Its on an Avaya system, hence the post to this forum
Regards
Gary
What benefit would there be to placing the GSM gateway network side?
If you don't you'll miss any outbound calls that route to mobile through the GSM device!
I think were on the same page here, by putting the ISDN call thu device on the NTU side of the tap in, it means that all calls will go...
Hi Matt
Due to the fact you say Mercom units have caused you incredible pain in the past, I can tell you are an expert in this field!!!
Our Mercom unit uses ISDN taps, and there is an ethernet connection from the switch as well where it can associate outgoing calls with the extensions they...
For example, could the nature of our telecoms ISDN30 line, for which our Mercom call recording unit was set up for, be subtley different to the nature of the ISDN30 provided by the dial thru device, causing the Mercom PC to no longer work?
Im working at a system with an Avaya IP Office 403 switch with 2 PRI cards connected to our telecoms 2 ISDN30 lines. Each cable has a tap, and the 2 cables from the tap go into a PC used for call recording (from Mercom).
We are thinking of placing an ISDN dial thru GSM gateway device on one of...
Can someone confirm that you can route all mobile calls (which in the UK begin with a set number of digits) down 1 of the 2 PRI cards on an old Avaya IP Office 403?
I am looking at a problem which would involve users uploading lists of records with various field structures into an application. The 2nd part of this would be to also allow the users to specify fields to capture information.
This is a step beyond anything ive done up to this point where i...
Hi, hope you can help
Im hoping to connect an avaya system to my asterisk box. What i am looking for is to allow the avaya users to dial an outbound pstn number as usual,
a) the call to be routed to asterisk via H323(ill research how to do this from avaya sources),
b) for asterisk to route...
Just to add, the first time i setup Trixbox was on a virtual machine. You can download Sun VirtualBox for free, then download the Trixbox iso, open up virtualbox follow the wizard to boot the iso. Its advised you dont put asterisk into production under a vm due to its need for a hardware clock...
Yea im a newbie to and installed trixbox recently, (i also opted for version 2.6 as the concensus seems to be avoid 2.8 until the bugs are ironed out.) Note this is a distro so your hardrive will be wiped and OS replaced with CentOS 5.x. and when you boot it up theres no X Windows just a command...
