Thanks TTT. I finally found the "button" in WinSPM to drop alarms in the literature. Someone else called the teleco before I could do my troubleshooting; teleco is exp. an outage in this area. Thanks
Error I am encountering is PRI D-CHNL INOPERATIVE looking at WINSPM, otherwise I can not see anything wrong with my card. Suggestions aside of calling the teleco?
Can someone please tell me procedure to clear an alarm on my 100dcd module? I am in WINSPM at the moment, I am red on my module and my PRI/T-1 is completely INOP.. no ability to dial out.
Thanks in advance.
Chris
Jim,
The teleco has provided me a list of number for my DID ranging from xxx-yyy-8200 thru -8259. I'd like to -8223 for my fax line since this number doubles as x7123 internally. I am unsure what you mean by "3 or 4 digit feeds" or did I answer your question in my previous sentence?
I have...
Another question, I may have asked this already but would like someone to validate my thought:
If I patch the fax line over to a vacant port on my 016 T/R module (assigning it an extension number from there).. can I program/route/direct my DID number use that port for all in/outgoing faxes? or...
// merlinman, can you please tell me how you know to a TDL vs. a single line port? I am still trying to learn / decipher this report / learn the switch.
// syquest ...
If I want to use the DID xxx-xxx-8223 as the commerical number for my fax (also a number from my batch of numbers with the...
All, I have read through lots of threads here and still can't seem to come to a fix.. can you help?
I am trying to setup a fax machine by plugging the line into a vacant voice port (x7123). I've removed the extension from a coverage group (since when I dialed that ext, it went straight to...
If someone dials into our main line, xxx-1234 the auto attendant spouts out the pre-recorded message during which the caller can 1) dial an extension, 2) press 0 for the OPR (x1000) or 3) simply wait and it will transfer to the OPR (x1000)
During the day, the person sitting up front transfers...
LEt me make sure I understand. When we stood up our PRI, I has my three incoming lines xxx-1234, 2345 and 3456 added to the PRI. I also have a batch of 60 numbers that came with my PRI. When I ring down my xxx-1234, it rings the main console phone where the caller has the option to dial an...
TTT,
Thanks for the input. Let me make sure I understand everything. For us, I presently do not use the night service feature so I'd need to program / activiate it in my switch? Instead of it being actual "night service" I'd be using the functionality, at the press of a programmed button on...
I am a new switch operator / pbx programmer and I havea problem. I have a Avaya (Merlin) Magix as my PBX. I presently have my operator assigned as extension 1000. During the day, if this person moves around they generally transfer the operators calls to another person in the building. This...
Is there a way to allow certain extension to only have the ability to dial 2 pre-determined extensions? I have several phones that are presently configured to dial the operator once they are off hook. Although I am interested in removing that feature and returning them to 'normal operation'...
All, I am still new at watching over my Magix and I am trying to figure out how I can dial from an outside line (i.e. cell, home, etc) into my main number and then access individual voice mail boxes. Can someone shed some light, or do I need to pull a report and see what settings are already...
Based on all of the input from everyone I think I have forumlated a plan, although I need someone to look it over and tell me if i am missing anything.
My fax line is an old analog line that does not come into my PBX, rather straight into the facility and then terminates on a biscuit on the...
Again, maybe I am making this to hard/easy on my self, but can someone verify my thought process with this idea. I mentioned that I have a batch of DID #'s that I recently put into system and consquently they also align with my existing extension listing. I have plenty of "spares" available...
Morning all. Another question from the newbie. I recently installed a PRI with a batch of DID on a Magix PBX. I also have an old (and only) fax line coming into my facility that I am looking to move to the PRI. A knowledgeable soul recommended that I should not move this number to the PRI...
HiDesert,
Nope, I generally don't get any alarms generally. I believe it is more end-user fat finger syndrome than anything to do with my switch. Although, I need to know how to interrogate indicators / faults and act justly, just as any good tech / engineer should be able to do (in my...
All,
The dialing error that caused the alarm was 911 hence dial 9 to obtain an outside line then 1 for long distance and way another 1 was dialed is unknown. I'd really like to identify what extension the errors generate from so I can talk one on one with the end-user if need be and answer any...
