Format command in OEM version?
They are the exact same size, shape, etc. But they are not listed as compatible only Sony SuperStation and Aiwa Bolt are interchangeable according to the specs. I am just trying to save myself the pain of having to buy another $100 worth of backup media. My guess is, that since the tapes are...- Chubasco

When I stick in a Ditto Max tape it says something like, "Please insert Sony SuperStation media". I had messed up one of the Sony tapes by stopping a job in the middle and when I tried to use it again, a message popped up that said, "This tape is not formatted, Click OK to format..." I just bought a Sony IDE tape drive with the OEM version of B/U Exec. It looks to me like the tapes used in this drive are exactly the same as the ones used in the Ditto Max.
