I have an Avaya switch which is using the intuity voice mail system. When my users check their messages they are hearing the automated voice say that the message was left one hour before it actually was, due to the recent time change. I went in to my switch to adjust it but at the "change...
I am a contractor assigned to a team that is standing up all the network, printing, voice, video-conferencing, and basically everything else that needs connectivity in a new government building, and some of the users will require DRSN service and i am looking for some info/help on this subject...
also i noticed that if i plug a phone into an open port and call 9200 (my ext.) it rolls to 9400 and it rings there. if i forward 9400 to my cell i get the line busy message when i call 9200 (myself) and press zero to transfer.
that seems to say that i should put ext. 9400 in point 1 (9400 is the ext i created that is x ported) and then put r6 at point 2 (r6 is the location of my cell in the remote coverage page) is that correct. i have tried several things but it is still telling me that it is transferring me to...
cool deal i will try it now. if anyone else who is knowledgable about this stumbles across this thread could you please check back as i usually have follow-up questions. thank you
that seems to be the right track except for when i press ) it says connecting to ext. 9400 ( which is the x-ported number) then says line busy. what could be causing this?also do i need to enable "hunt after coverage" on the coverage path page?

Recently the Security Chief at my building wanted to know if there was a way to alert everyone in the building through the phone system (Definity G3 V11)
Is there anything that could help me achieve this in the Crisis-Alert features, and what is this for?
the screen came up with "CDR system parameters" and on the first line it says "Node Number (Local PBX ID): 1" etc, so i am assuming i have a call accounting system.
But when you say find out who manages it, who do you mean by that?
I have a customer who is requesting the dates and times of all the calls made-from or recieved-on his phone last week.
I am using an Avaya Definity G3 v11 i believe.
Well that does sound easier. I am a bit confused as to what you mean, "put a covering ext. on my voicemail box" as well ass, remote coverage path. Wheni try to enter an outside line in a coverage path it does not work. And how would pressing zero during the OGM connect to a DN? Sorry i am so...
I would like to write a vector that, when someone calls my desk phone they would have the option of 1) pressing 1 to leave a message and then 2) pressing 2 to be connected to my cell phone. I have never written a vector before and am not quite sure how to connect a vector to a DN. All help...
Gotcha, well thank you so much for the info. Do you know of any other ways, especially one where i could hit all my phones internally , to send an emergency message?
i assigned the group-page numbers to 7778 and 7779 but when i tried to put them into a third paging group i got an error "extension assigned but wrong type for the group
Thank you for the input. I understand that you don't recommend this, but could i stop at group page 3 and use it like you explained that group page four would do or does it need to go all the way to group page four.
Also i have already created a group page number 16 where you dial 55 to access...
