Station forwards and does not wait for number of rings before doing so

There is not a phone on this port. When I started on this problem it was assigned X, but thinking that the problem could be the port assignment X, I assigned it to an unused port.

Station forwards and does not wait for number of rings before doing so

I did a test station and it responds with error codes 3 on test 16 and 5 on test 17. I changed cov pats and that had no effect.

Station forwards and does not wait for number of rings before doing so

G3si V11 R011i.02.0.110.4 I have a station that, when called goes directly to the cov pat assigned to it without waiting for the requisite number of rings. I unforwarded it (though apparently it was not forwarded) and that did nothing. Trace was not revealing anything except that it was going...

Addind extension to an exsisting phone.

From a 2420 phone I was not able to transfer after changing the 'RLA' to N. It appeared to put the call on hold with no Dial tone. This is second hand information, so I'm not really sure if she could finish the transfer in some way or not. A second appearance did the trick.

Addind extension to an exsisting phone.

One draw back to putting another phone number as an appearance is that you can't transfer those calls answered on those 'foreign' stations to another station. That is,if you answer 7186 on the 2411 phone, you will not be able to transfer it anywhere. Sometimes a call pickup group or coverage...

Addind extension to an exsisting phone.

That assumes 7186 is an existing digital station. If not add it with x as the port and any digital set as the station type. Also if 7186 is an analog station you would need to create an abridged-appearance.

    really Old Phone Question

During the first week of college in the dorms all the phones in the dorms and frats would be full. Also during wheat harvest here in Kansas the full boxes would follow the harvest crews. Lots of fun. I collected and later was a supervisor. It was a very serious thing to have a nickel missiing if...

    really Old Phone Question

I started out at SW Bell collecting money out of those 3 sloters. I've got a million stories about them. Not many payphones at all anymore.

D and B channels will not stay up on PRI

To eliminate the possibility of trouble on the PRI, you can put in a loopback facing the central office and have the provider run from the CO to the loopback. Probably not the issue but at least you can eliminate that as a problem. Make sure they send bit errors to themselves and see them coming...

    First time wiring a 66-block

There are many different ways to do this. If I were you, I would find an old retired Outside Plant telephone guy to get you started. He'll do it for a lunch and once he gets you started he will probably insist on staying around to make sure it's done right. That way you won't have any troubles...

Restricting outside parties from calling a DID number.

Thanks Mike, once again you've saved my bacon.

Restricting outside parties from calling a DID number.

Unfortunately, I failed to consider outside calls when I first set this up, so I didn't make them non-DID. I could direct them to another station, but that uses up another license for each door and it also incurrs an additional bill from my service provider. In the end we restricted all the...
