I must have been asleep at the wheel when I wrote the previous responce. There is an even easier method to getting rid of a drop shadow. Just select the object and the drop shadow and go to Effects>Clear Drop Shadow. The show will magically dissapear.- grumpie

Need a Program Eaiser than Corel Draw
One program that has been largely overlooked is Deneba's Canvas. This program combines vector and raster graphics as well as page layout. It also can be used for web page creation. You can download a 15 day trial version from wwww.deneba.com. Unfortunately there are no 3rd party books to help...- grumpie

how to turn off shaddow effect later
Marquee select the object and the shadow. In version 10 go to Arrange>Break Shadow Group Apart. Then select just the shadow and hit the delete key. In version 8, after selecting the object and the shadow go to Arrange>Separate. Then hit the delete key.- grumpie
