I have a customer looking to upgrade an old 4507R. I would like to upgrade them to a 4510R. Can I take the config from the 4507 and drop it in the 4510? Any issues? Can I move the modules as well?? Any help would be great. New to this and not current on Cisco switches.
Ive done a ton of searching and reading. Can anyone give me the jist on this??
I have a customer with a IPO400 \w Voicemail pro. We recently upgraded the network and are running exchange 2010. Cause of the upgrade we lost the unified messaging. I would like to push them to Rls. 8 and get...
I just did a install with 3 1230 ip phones on the system. The phones are up and working with no problems. The problem I am having is nothing in the manual actually works. Ie. directory and speed dials. Am I missing something. When you hit directory shouldnt there be a list of extensions...
So how does one obtain experience in this field other then a lab at home? I am in the phone industry and studying to get my ccna but how do I possibly find a place to show me the ropes?
Thanks guys! Ciscoguy, would you be willing to talk over phone? I have a few other questions. I have followed a lot of your posts and would definitely like to chat with you if you didn't mind.
Thanks
Dont know if this has been asked. Do people look down on someone taking the test in two parts instead of one shot one kill? Does the cert show that you took the test in two parts? Just curious.
Yea we just finished up ospf ! Rip seemed pretty easy. Eigrp is the one that is kinda getting me. Ospf seems allright but Im sure I will forget it all tomorrow lol!!
Hey guys got a quick question. This is more just to make sure I dont mess up and buy something I dont need or not right. I found a great deal on a 3640. I asked if they could add two serials to it. He said he would send it with a wic 2t. Does that mean it will come with a ethernet as well...
Thanks for the replies guys! I actually was just looking at a 3660. Yes its big but it looks like it would definatly be a good buy. I found one with maxed memory for $120. Even though I have to buy a fast ethernet it still comes in under a 3662. I just bid on some 3640s but missed them. How...
Found this too! Im not 100% sure if this is what I would need or not.

Thanks for the help ciscoguy! I checked the link out with the 9 parts on labs. I dont think Im going to get the package deal. I will definitely piece it out. I really want to go for ccnp down the road so I will get some 2610s. Probably have to do it one at a time but I just started second...
I have read alot of the posts for setting up a lab and such. While surfing ebay looking for routers I found a package deal. Just wanted to hear your thoughts on just buying package outright. Im sure I could save alittle piecing it myself but wouldnt be easier to just buy package...
