Following along with Appnair and ggriffit, just select the pencil aka the Configuration icon (upper right of the page below the Help section) and choose the Hidden option. This should hide all items on that level as well as the "browse/drag and drop" section. then your Custom View will contain...
You guys rock, two of the best in the Biz! Thanks for the valuable information.
A couple items:
* On EC - the tool is new, but how about developing from the Web Services layer? Is that new? What skills support that?
* On OSCRIPT - We're shortly moving to LL 9.7.1 is this version and later...
To Add to appnair's posts:
Admittedly we do not user WebDAV, however in general the Download feature does not trigger the Reserve function. It simply makes a copy at the location you have downloaded the item.
Otherwise when a user selects to OPEN the document using WebDAV it automatically...
Greetings all, we are beginning to put together a justification to higher a developer to assist with integration, reporting, web page modifications and other development requirements with Content Server. We will be using OT Enterprise Connect, OT Records Management, OT Content Server, FootPrints...
Dirk,
It sounds like you have some great skills. It has been my experience that there is Livelink work available throughout the US. Make sure your resume is posted on all the popular sites; Monster, LinkedIn, etc...

KLH
I found lots of hits off of this...
All,
I Received input from the vendor on this:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
You had indicated that you are unable to use links in PowerPoint documents being viewed as a web page in Livelink.
This is the expected behavior as PowerPoint slides are vector-based graphics. When viewing the PowerPoint document in...
Have you tried using Livelink's built-in Compound Document feature? Not as fancy as what my friend Appnair is recommending so it may not fit the bill, though it might be worth a look-see.
klh
Okay... From the Function drop down a user can select "View As Web Page" OR since we have it configured to do so, it will activate the same HTML rendered view within the frame, by selecting the title. This is a configuration that can be turned on our off from the Admin side.
I noticed the KC...
Greetings All,
We have our instance of LES defaulting to the HTML view when users click on files. I've noticed that for Word and Excel files hyperlinks funtion from the HTML view. However PowerPoint files do not. What accounts for this?
Kind Regards,
klh
1. You may need to 'blow away' the old Livelink Active X info stored in the browser. Then run the intall for the new version...
2. Yes there is an entry in the OT.ini file that allows you to set the size limitation.
Greetings Again,
<Busy day on the Forum!>
Assuming a core implementation of LES. What would be the key components needed to most strongly assist user adoption?
My Thoughts:
* Livelink Explorer Pro ~ Integration with MS Products, drag & drop to LL, drag & drop from Outlook, Windows Explorer...
All,
For a relatively small organization <500. What would be the Livelink staffing requirements and skill sets needed? Let's assume they are dedicated solely to Livelink.
My Thoughts:
* 2-3 Business Analysts (Requirements Gathering, Process Modeling)
* 2-3 Super User in Livelink...
A user posed this question of late… “When a 15 MB file is added to Livelink, and then another 15 MB file is added as a version. Is there now 30 MB of storage space being used?”
Or does the compaction process shrink the storage need? We are running 9.5 SP1.
Thanks Friends
If I may add to Appnair's valuable post.
Be aware that the version number in vernum=# does not relate to the number of versions available. But to the specific version. So furthering Appnair's example, if version 15 is deleted (trimmed), then the next version added does not become the 'new'...
Vinzz,
That seems a costly way to go about it. What if you structure the permissions to use the PUBLIC User Group to allow access to this other group? Pehaps you could add a URL to the login page for GUEST and predefine an Anonymous user account with PUBLIC access...
AppNair, Ggriffit what...
