Anyone remember their first experience with 2000 IPS or IPX?

One of the best things was the satisfaction of solving a problem that was either buried so deep in manuals that it was almost hiroglytics and you eventually working out how to get something working, then optimise it. The flip side of this is that there was stuff you were expected to install and...

    NEC SV9500 IP-DECT Difference between ML440 and the G/I Series (G2/5xx & I7xx)

About 10 years ago I setup a big IP-DECT solution - about 70 radios, 300 handsets, 3 continents and we were warned by a distributor not to use the ML440 handsets due to them 'working differently'. But frequently I am aware of people using the ML440 and I actually think it's the nicest handset...

Anyone remember their first experience with 2000 IPS or IPX?

Back in the mid 2000s NEC were randomly starting to push their larger systems in the UK, which had traditionally been only able to sell the small kit (via a weird in-bred subset of NEC, who were scared of anything that didn't just have 8 extensions on a box on a wall). I was thrown in at the...

SV9500 determining how many NEC SIP client licenses are in use and/or logging them out?

AACT is showing I have loads of licenses... just suddenly some stations are timing out and, of course, due to them all being on their own unique subnet, I suspect something has changed on the LAN/WAN which is causing this... but I am trying to think of everything to check before I go... Thanks...

SV9500 determining how many NEC SIP client licenses are in use and/or logging them out?

It's been a while since I was living and breathing IPX/SV8500/SV9500 and I'm going to have to troubleshoot a few issues tomorrow. I wondered if anyone could jog my memory what commands are available to determine how many SIP clients (NEC and/or 3rd party) are registered/logged in out of however...

Last known firmware for NEC IP DECT G266 and G566 handsets?

Hi Everyone We're an NEC dealer and for a long time have been supporting an NEC IP DECT solution. We upgraded our IP-DECT server last December and we forgot to transition over the firmware files for the G266 and G566 handsets and NEC have removed the firmware as a download from their website...

complete global international necessary digits in a sheet?

Hi Everyone I'm doing some optimisation of an E.164 international dial plan (basically PSTN dialled including everything beyond 00......) and although I do have a spreadsheet containing all this raw data, it's about 12 years out of date. I basically administer a phone system that supports both...

    Running Softphones over plain internet

Hi I'm trying to determine the simplest way to enable users to register an endpoint over a 3rd party SIP phone on any internet connection... The problems I'm aware I have to tackle are: 1) NAT at the Registration end 2) Security for SIP authentication 3) NAT at the endpoint end We have an...

    NEC2000IPS ISDN30 incoming issue

Hi I would also consider a complete power down, because if power is kept to the ISDN30 cable, the BT equipment may not reset. If you do a complete power down (or pull out the DTA card and push back in), you might find resolution? ProAction Networks http://www.pxnnet.com NEC Phone System...

SV8100 IPDECT no ringer for CCIS

Has anyone else out there noticed that when using the IPDECT (AP400 and G566 for example) on the SV8100, there is no ringing tone when calling to CCIS parties? I've noticed it does actually ring for a split second and then jump to 'connected' thinking the call is connected when infact it's...
