I have a customer with a CICS 4.0 restricted. They are wanting to upgrade to standard.

Can the BCM 400 3.6 be upgraded to 5.0 or 6.0? If not then what is the latest version I can take it to? If it can do I need to step the install to 4.0 first or 5.0 first, etc...?
I do not have the MCDN keycode and never have, but this used to work... Also this is between all BCMs, no Meridians. My understanding is that I do not have to have it unless I have an Option - PBX in the mix.
I believe it all started when we changed from H323 to SIP sttings on VOIP trunks. The incomming CID from outside works fine, it is only on VOIP calls. CID shows the ext calling from some BCM 50s but anonymous from some other BCM 50s in our network. Anonymous is shown on the BCM 400 4.0.

Gibblett, can anyone get access to the patches or do I have to be a reseller or vendor? When I try to register, it asks for my "Sold to Number" and it says I can find that number on my service contract or invoice...
I am looking on Nortel's website and cannot fing BCM 50 & 400 patches and updates. Or at least they are not where they have always been. Does anybody know where to get them now?

Suddenly, calls using VIOP (SIP) same as original post and also direct call without the transfer had no speech path. Changed all codecs to G729 on both BCMs and stations, rebooted BCM 50 and still no speech path, he even lost speech on external calls coming in. Changed back to G711 on...
I have a BCM 50 r3 (3.0?) calling to a BCM 400 4.0. via VOIP using SIP. The sites are VPN'd using Cisco routers. When calling fron the 50 to the 400 ext to ext is fine, but when calling to the attendant first then tranfered to the ext desired is when one way speech occurs. The originating caller...
What is LAN 1 code? Also, I should be able to take a new BCM HDD and copy over the image to the old HDD, right, or to any other store bought HDD for that matter... Am I right?

Got a backup last Friday then tried the patch after hours and still not working...
Maybe for some reason it is wanting me in front of it. I have never had this trouble before.

I did a soft reboot, not a power down yet. I was not onsite. But this should be able to get powered down tomorrow. As for the patch, yes it is new. Even if it is not new, it is not even coming up to locate the patch on my laptop. I click get new update and nothing... I tried the 2 BCM 50s this...
I do not know if it is the latest, but it is the same one I always use to get into this customers BCMs. I installed the last patches to this BCM back in December of 2009 and I have never had any trouble till now. I can view everything else on the BCM. I tested opening callpilot manager as well...
