Hi
I looking at a host a record and the
host (same as parent folder), i presume this is the domain name with the www.
The IP address points to the dns server of my windows domain controller, will there be a problem if i change it to the ip of my web server?
thanks
hi
how do you view the settings for domain on a windows 2003 dns without www.
in dns i can sort name and see the name www.
example: www.yahoo.com
but how can we change and view the no www setting.

thanks

just on the disk i think with quotas.
i saw on some other peoples one dunno if it's a safe programmed script or open source program, that they get a window telling them that they are over quota and they can't logoff until clearing the space.
ill have a look at the gpo settings.
if the nis slave is down will this affect the nis master if reboot?
anyone has any good guides how to remove nis slave off a nis master solaris?
cheers
profile space is set to 100MB, but when users are over the limit and logoff not everything is copied back, as the quota limit on the server is 100MB.
however they don't get any warning, how do people usually deal with this issue.
thanks
Hi

with a 100MB limit on the server, some user's profile folder are like 500MB on their pc. but how can we stop users from adding to their profile directory on the local pc when the level is...
hi

as a complete novice to the networking side, we have dhcp on one server and dns on another. is there any recommended ways of how we could introduce the...
i believe deleting a catalog is just deleting the table of contents of the backup.
to erase this site mentions
ntbackup /nopoll
You can then use NT Backup to erase a tape.

It is fedora,
I am not sure if we are wanting to get a hostname from the dhcp server,
but more so that the hostname of the fedora linux pc registers it's name onto the dhcp server.
so other windows pcs can connect via it's computer name.
oh that is one solution cheers.
generally in windows we would register the mac address and it would pick up the hostname automatically, was seeing if there's anything similar with linux, to minimise administration of pcs.
Hi
We running a windows 2003 server setup but have a few linux clients.
the problem with the linux clients is that when you ping their hostname it does not resolve.
which file would you change so that it would talk to either the windows server or a unix server to give it's hostname details...
