    The bcm has been set up as a vlan; but I don't know whether it is set up as dhcp server or not. If I try to manually enter a valid ip into the set, it works.     I was also thinking lack of IP addresses available might be the issue; I tried to deregister one of our IP phones (currently working) to free up the IP, before trying once again to reconfigure the new phone: same results. Also, new workstations are able to pickup new addresses from the DHCP...

    I recently tried to configure a new IP Phone 2002 on BCM 3.7; the phone remained stuck on "Starting DHCP..". The configuration worked though when given a static IP.
