I'm trying to preform a "Release Renew" on my pc to get my cable modem to work. I go to start, run, type in winipcfg, and hit release, it works, then when I click on Renew, the "IP Configuration" box always freezes up. I was told that it has something to do with my Windows 98...

Thanks a lot lgebhart. But my computer automaticaly opens in safe mode and I'm not able to use my mouse. I can open Internet explorer without my mouse but I haven't figured out how to get to the url section without it.
