Setting up a GFS scheme on ARCserve 6.5 on NT
I would use new blank tapes or erase some old ones and let ArcServe do all the work. It will create the media pools, name the tapes, track usage, and write protect tapes according to how long you want to retain them.- bry8865

Excessive backup times on occasion.
Is it always a full backup? Is there a process that runs occasionally that is resource hungry like anti-virus, database reorg, or defrag? What's running on this box? I need more info...- bry8865
